When Noah Ark opened his eyes in an unknown environment, he found himself confused. With no recollection of what he was doing before he awoke, he is even more confused by the semi-transparent window opening in front of him. [Welcome, Noak Ark] The only way of him having answers to his numerous questions is to achieve omniscience? Easy with the system. Less easy when you are in a universe where reality-bending entities crawl around the cosmos, often avoiding attracting too much attention to themselves as even more frightening entities dwells in the shadows. A light breeze came running on my skin, steering me awake.
I opened my eyes before slowly rising from my lying position to a seated one.
My bare feet touched the cold wooden floor but my mind was too busy to register it.
"Where am I?" My relatively deep voice echoed through the room I was in, coming from my open mouth.
I looked around me, noticing that I was in a well-furnished room. Nothing was out of place, yet I could not help but have a sense of deja-vu.
Pushing myself on my feet, I stretched a little, the sound of bones popping replacing the previous silence that followed my words.
"Did I lose my memories?" I frowned, trying to decipher the situation.
I looked back at the bed on which I was lying, finding nothing but a clean king-sized bed.
Thinking about it, I notice that I am quite tall. I don't have anything to compare myself with but I could, strangely, feel it.
I went around the room, trying to find anything that could have helped me find out about my identity, but I unsurprisingly found nothing.
"What a surprise..." I grumbled once again, finally going through one of the doors of the room.
I opened it and had a face staring back at me.
"A bathroom." I declared to myself, admiring how much it was good. The mix of white and blue added a light but colorful glow that kept the mind relaxed.
I looked back at the mirror, taking note of my features.
My body had been intensively trained before. The six-pack on my stomach and the muscles running through my body were an obvious sign of it.
My brown skin had no blemish, which removed a few years of my already young face.
I don't know what I was doing before losing my memories but I was not playing around.
Leaving the bathroom, I went to the half-opened closet, wearing a black sleeveless shirt that matched my size and white shorts. Because of the heat outside, I opted for a pair of flip-flops.
Now that I think about it, the ambient heat, although high, did not make me break a single drop of sweat considering I was actively moving since I woke up.
[System reboot.]
An artificial voice declared, following the words that appeared in the transparent-like box in front of my eyes.
"What the fuck is that?" I asked, almost certain that nobody would answer me.
Trying to touch the box turned out to be useless as my hand went through without bringing any change to it.
After a few seconds, however, the box seemed to dissolve in thin air, leaving nothing behind.
"Am I in some kind of game? Do I have to say something like..." I paused, looking for the right words used in video games.
"Character sheet? Or maybe, player's information?" I tentatively asked, receiving nothing but silence following.
"Is it [Status], then? Or am I hallucin-" My words were cut when the blue box opened once again, this time way larger than the previous one.

"It looks like some RPG-like game." I remarked, concluding a few minutes following my discovery.
My eyes switched to the name that was supposedly mine.
"Noah Ark? It does have a strong deja-vu feeling..." I muttered to myself, trying to figure out where I heard it for the last time.
Suddenly, a sound way too familiar despite being all too new to me brought me back from my thoughts.

"If it isn't suspicious..." I said, looking at the quest.
"Well, it doesn't matter much right now. I have to know where I am and what do I do to quickly grow at least strong enough to defend myself."

"Nice, I know how to raise some of my stats already then."
Finally exiting the room, I found myself in a soberly furnished living room.
I strolled around, looking for anything that could help me figure out who I was, but besides a credit card and an ID with some information, I didn't find anything interesting.
There were no pictures of anyone or anything that could link me to where I come from.
It almost seems like everything has been made from scratch.
I went to the black couch and sat, switching the TV on. My plan to find something useful in the city on which I was supposedly born crumbled to dust as the information channel of the city was the same as my hometown.
"Gotham City... I should look around once the news is over." I declared, shifting my focus on the information that is relayed by the journalists.
"Once again, the sun shines on Gotham City, Liz!"
"Indeed, Bart! Hello everyone, I am Liz Garrison..."
"... while I am Bart Borton and today, the 2nd of February 1971, we'll present you everything that happened during this night."
"As you all know, Gotham never sleeps. The recent formation of what most calls the Young Justice League allowed our citizens to sleep a little more at ease as the crime rate decreased by 2 percent since December."
"Tell me, Liz. Isn't it quite amazing?"
"Yes, it is Bart! At this rate, Gotham's crime rate will reach records percentages."
"Indeed, but we have to give credit to Bruce Wayne, one of those who financed law enforcement and allowed actions to be taken against some of the crime families that fell."
The news is quite disappointing or it's just is me being impatient. Whatever the case may be, I stood up and switched off the TV.
I need to make some real research and since I do not have any device that could help me, I would have to make some shopping.
Walking, toward the door, my hand nearing the door handle stopped as another thought hit me.
"Isn't there some kind of... [Starter Pack]?" I asked myself, thinking about the different possibilities of this system-like power.
Fortunately, my guess was right as two boxes appeared before me.
