Chapter 168 - Small But Deadly; The First Wave

The Queen widened her eyes as she heard this. "What?" she exclaimed as the Captain walked away.

"Take your people to safety and don't come out, no matter what," Mako said to her. "The staircase leading to the basement is connected to the room you were sleeping in; get to safety if you value your life."

"I and my people..." Maria said, "We can help you!"

Captain Mako sighed, not being in the mood to argue. He looked at her briefly. "Don't say I didn't warn you," he said to her before turning to leave.

As he left, Jin came out of the room and was quite elated to see Maria standing on both feet.

"Oh, Maria, you're — you're alright, thank goodness," he stuttered with sleepy eyes.

She went over and kissed him. "I'm glad to see you too, but we need to get to work," she said to him.

"What happened?" he asked.
