The female protagonist is Yu Ruohuan who later became a Film Empress. And the loyal dog in that story was the company President Xing Yichen.

There was also a villainess in the story named Qiao Moyu, who had the same name as she did. In fact, this wasn't important. The key is, that character was brainless.
