08 - We are not dating

Like that, Rowan and Laura had a pleasant time having their dinner.

The dinner was followed by a stroll along the riverside. They enjoyed the night view at the riverside.

On their stroll, Rowan would crack a joke and Laura would let out a soft and sweet laugh.

She found Rowan to know her very well, he could always find the most interesting topics to talk about and make her happy, Laura herself found it very pleasing to have a conversation with Rowan.

"Rowan, it's getting late, I should go back now." Laura said reluctantly.

"Oh, I didn't even notice, it's already 9 p.m. I can't let you go alone so late. Come with me, I'll drop you on my way." Rowan said.

"After you drop me home, what about you? What are your plans? Are you going to sleep?" Laura asked.

"For a person like me, it's too early to rest. The nightlife has just begun. My friends have invited me, we are going to LaPulo to spend some time and party a little."

LaPulo was an entertainment place that had the best of eating, drinking and partying. LaPulo was also known as the paradise of nightlife.

Although she knew how he was and how he had lived his life till now, Laura felt unexplainably uncomfortable when she heard this. 

Her heart was pounding fast and she wanted to stop Rowan, make him stay but she found herself to be in no position to stop him.

Yet, she just did what she felt would be the best and asked, "Places like that are not too good, don't go if you can, you know, avoid it."

"Where should I go if not LaPulo? Any suggestions?" Rowan said helplessly, "Nights are very long, where do I go to pass all this time? I'm also a little afraid of being alone, and it's especially uncomfortable when I don't have anyone to accompany me in the dark."

Laura thought for a while and finally gathered the courage, "Why not...Why not go watch a movie with me? By the time it finishes, it'll almost be time to sleep."

Rowan's eyes lit up. He was waiting for this response from Laura.

"Good idea!"

The two were then headed to the nearest movie theatre to watch a movie.

Recently, there was a hit movie, and it happened to be a romantic movie, a story related to lavender.

Just outside the theatre stood an old woman with a small stall. The stall only had a few lavenders on it.

The moment the woman saw Rowan buy two tickets and smile looking at Laura, she started walking towards him.

"Sir, your girlfriend is so beautiful, why don't you buy her a bouquet of lavender?", the woman stopped Rowan and said while smiling and handing him a small bouquet of lavenders.

Rowan shook his head and smiled, "You are mistaken, lady, she is not my girlfriend..."

"Don't lie to me, kid. You are not a couple yet you two came here to watch a romantic movie? You are obviously dating! Even if not now, you will in the future. I have seen my fair share of couples like you. Just hurry up and buy flowers for her, it will help you impress her."

Unable to shirk her, Rowan bought a bouquet of lavender and gave it to Laura as he slightly bent his knee.

"Well, I had no choice but to buy it. A beautiful bouquet for the beautiful lady. You can put it on the table and look at it after work. It will help you feel better."

"Sure." Laura nodded with a blushing face and accepted the bouquet from Rowan's hand.

After Laura accepted the bouquet, Rowan had a weird expression on his face.

"What's wrong?" Laura asked in confusion.

"It's nothing. I felt as if I saw an old acquaintance..." Rowan frowned

"It's your acquaintance? Shouldn't we go meet them then?"

"Nah, I was most probably wrong, don't worry about it. Anyhow, The movie is about to start, let's go in quickly", Rowan rushed inside the hall with Laura.

After Rowan entered the movie hall.

At the entrance of the theatre, a handsome man in a security uniform walked out of the dark corner.

He pressed his chest with his hands, panting, "Almost! I almost let him see me! As expected of Rowan Mills, the king of chaos who defeated me!"

"Wait, why am I afraid to see him?"

"I've been reborn, he shouldn't know anything about me. Why am I afraid of him?"

A bitter smile appeared on the handsome man's face, "I definitely underwent a rebirth and am back to when I was a security guard. I now carry both, the fear of him in my heart and the memories of the future from my previous life."

The man sat down on the floor, his back leaning on the wall.

"Rowan Mills, wait for me, we will meet soon! Things are going to get interesting."

Finally, the man took a look at the theatre and left gracefully.

After watching the movie, it was already 11:30. Rowan sent Laura home, and did what he promised Laura he would do. Rest.

The next day, Rowan woke up at noon.

Then, with a caring heart, he went to the hospital to visit and take care of the mummified protagonist.

Rowan saw Linden's good brother, Daniel bring new needles with him.

"He came at the right time. I still have today's wish."
