Vampire Diaries 45: She Came Back

~ DRAKE'S POINT OF VIEW ~

"Where are you going?"

Without seeing her face, I can tell that I know her name. She's dependent, fearful and dull. Instead of answering, I tie the lace of my shoe.

Grabbing the jacket that hangs into the wall. "Don't you ever turn your back on me!" said a woman from behind. She takes a deep breath but still, I remain quiet and voiceless.

Before leaving the place, I stare at the old photograph for seconds. She was once my world, but, she left me without a word. "Let... Let the past go." I said, looking at somewhere distant.

"She will never be yours! Don't be naive, Drake!"

"It none of your business anymore!" Anger leads me to raise my voice on her. She just provokes me and so I can't control and stop myself anymore. "And stop pretending that you care for me! Stop it before I can do a thing that will break your heart, again!"

Seeing her face makes me angry and annoyed. Since the day she mistreated Thalia, everything turned upside down.

"Drake!"

"Drake!"

I quickly walk out of the room and still, she follows me like a dog. "You can't do this to me!" said in a threatening way. Yet, I fear no one.

Suddenly, Kalle appears from nowhere. He's breathing heavily while his neck is quietly bleeding. "You–..." he halts as he knows what I'm trying to tell him. "Dr–Drake," said in a crack and volatile way.

Nodding my head means going on. With a deep breath and sincerity in his eyes. "Your father summons you!"

Upon hearing about my father, my heart beats and pounds so loud. "What about him?" asks him confusedly and bewilder. "You should see him now!" he exclaims.

"Follow me!" Kalle looks at me with pity on his eyes. Until he notices that someone is standing behind me. "Why are you still here?!"

"Stop,"

Kalle walks closer to her as he abruptly grips her arms. He clenches his teeth as he couldn't forgive her of something she has done. "He–help me, Dr–Drake!" "Save me from your cousin!"

"Kalle, stop it!" Tapping his shoulders calms him down. "This is not the right time for revenge. Let her go and come with me!"

"You will pay for this!" She threatened Kalle who glares at her sharply. He gulps and takes a long sigh to release the burden he kept for so long. "Stay away from our family or you will regret that you are still breathing!"

"Kalle!"

"Just a moment," he said, breathing like an angry Dragon that is ready to blow a burning fire. "I will never get tired of reminding this woman in front of me that you will never fall in love with her. I will always remind her the truth that she's nothing but someone who causes the death of one you're beloved."

"I said stop!"

Kalle and the woman before me widen their eyes. Never been this angry before but I can't help it. Their annoying voices makes me procrastinate and see her.

The woman who was once my life, my everything and my world. She's standing right before Kalle's with a short smile on her face.

"Why did you came back?" I murmur as I try to avoid her deep gaze.
