She Heard Everything

"I don't care who he has sex with. He can take all the ladies in the city as his concubines and I won't bat an eyelid. All I ask is that you advise him to be cautious about his rendezvous," Aurora said seriously.

"Giavanna might be terribly ill and almost on the verge of dying but believe me when I said she will not hesitate to drag us along with her to hell if she discovers that he has been using her all these years," Aurora warned.

Giavanna's mouth dropped open at the revelation she learned.

She wanted to stomp outside and challenged them but only to realize that her legs had gone too weak to move an inch.

Slowly, Giavanna turned and gazed at the entrance.

"So... she knew about this," Giavanna mumbled, her lips vibrating as they moved.

Giavanna's weak legs gave way causing her to stagger backwards. Had she not grabbed the arm of the couch for support Giavanna would have sustained a bad fall.

At that very moment, Giavanna's steady world came to a standstill. She didn't know for how long she stood there gazing at the door.

After what seemed like forever, two guys strolled into the sitting room. The broad smile on their faces faded away the instant they saw Giavanna's expression and the position she stood at.

Zeus hurried to her side.

"Babe, are you alright?" Zeus asked. He held her hand but only for it to fall to her side as if there was no life in her.

Zeus and Roman's eyes widened after this. Without being told, they knew that all was not well with Giavanna.

"Hey, what happened?..."

"It's not convenient to talk here. The maids or any of the other employees might bump into our conversation. ) Let's take her to our room," Roman suggested as he looked around the sitting room for the sign of no one in particular.

"Sure," Zeus obliged. Together, he and Roman assisted Giavanna upstairs.

After they entered their room, the first thing Roman did was shut the door. Although he doubted that anyone would eavesdrop on them, he still wanted to be a hundred per cent certain that everything they discussed stayed within the three of them.

When he reached their bedroom, he met the anxious Zeus already talking to Giavanna.

"Babe, please say something and stop scaring us like this?" Zeus pleaded when Giavanna didn't utter a word despite how many times he questioned her.

Unlike Zeus who couldn't hide his anxiety, Roman was composed.

He moved to the bed where Giavanna and Zeus sat. Roman sat down on her left-hand side.

Roman gently held her hands and placed them on his thigh.

"Although we have only known each other for a short time, we have studied you in this short period and that is why we could easily guess through your expression that something major took place during our absence," Roman started in a soothing voice that would make a terrified person feel safe.

He caressed her hands affectionately as he peered into her eyeballs.

"Yes, we might have been able to see through this but how can we help out or console you if you don't tell us what exactly happened?" Roman continued while maintaining the same soft tone.

"Only one person in this world can make Babe act this way and I don't need to think for too long to know who this person is," Zeus growled and jumped to his feet.

"I am sure her scumbag husband must have hurt her again..."

"I loved her so much. After my mum, Emmy and Xander, she was the next closest person to me. I took her like a family. Whenever she smiled at me or constantly checked on me, I believed the feelings were mutual," Giavanna mumbled. She sniffed a few times and fought back the urge to burst out in tears.

"My feelings for her were genuine even up to some minutes ago, so how could she do this to me? How could Aurora join them and deceive me?" Giavanna shed silent tears as she guided her hands to her aching chest.

"Aurora!" Roman and Zeus chorused and exchanged puzzled glances.

She shifted her attention to Roman's face, "Will you believe me if I said that for her sake I had decided to discontinue one of my revenge plans..."

"What!" Roman and Zeus exclaimed, their eyes bulged out in astonishment.

"That is how genuine my feelings for her were until I learned that she knew for a long time that Xander never loved me. She was aware of the fact Xander had another woman and that this woman was Eve..." Giavanna's grip on her chest tightened as she choked on her words.

"You can't imagine how many times I have told that woman about how much Xander adored me. In fact, I always took great delight in speaking about Xander's unconditional love for me. I bet she must have been laughing and mocking me each time I said those words right?" Giavanna asked while staring into Roman's eyeballs.

"You loved Xander more than anything else in this world. You gave him everything he has and was ready to give more as long as it will make him happy and he still chose the cruellest way possible to betray you. Why did you think this Aurora of a woman will be different?" Roman retorted to Zeus' disapproval.

"It was their fault for trampling on her love for them so how could you say such a thing to Babe especially when you know how much she is hurting?" Zeus reprimanded, his cold gaze shot at Roman.
