Ultimate Throne

In the grand tapestry of existence, mortality serves as a poignant reminder of the transience of life. Fish succumb to the whims of hunger, their fate a mere trifle in the grand scheme. Humans, on the other hand, surrender to the allure of wealth, a fleeting dream that vanishes like smoke on the wind. Yet, in this world, the currency of trust proves far more perilous. To entrust one’s fate to the wrong individual is to invite despair, to drown in a sea of regret. Trusting a devil will only leave one imprisoned by the chains of pain. When I say “devil,” I don’t mean it in a spiritual sense, but rather a human with the characteristics of a devil. A person capable of lying to himself until his mind believes it to be the truth. Someone who views the world with disdain and wouldn’t care if it disappeared in the next second. On the planet Ablauf, where the extraordinary has become mundane, abilities both grand and trivial are woven into the fabric of existence. like turning into an insect, to the all powerful like reversing time, mind control, and turning illusion into reality. Tito Roux Z, a broken soul from Earth with the ability to turn into flames, lands on this planet with no goals in mind. However, from the second day onward, when he heard about the “Ultimate Throne” granting the rights to be Sovereign of Ablauf from Encender Tohil, a fellow inmate at the time, other thoughts began to form in his dark mind.

Despair: Being Immortal

Taking a train that led to City Square Mall, I blended in nicely with the crowd.

Thanks to the fake illusion placed on me, which made me look like a woman, no one suspected that I was the wanted prince.

Chuu—!

The train's chime was the signal that told me I was close to saving my people who were being taken hostage by the demon Gaurav.

Walking out with the crowd, who wanted to witness the death of my men, we reached a huge lift big enough to carry at least a thousand people.

My gaze focused on the peaceful capital city of India, which was beneath us.

The crowd chatted among themselves, but I didn't bother listening to them, as my mind was thinking of a plan to save the people of India from Gaurav.

'I am too beautiful as a woman, how troublesome, 'I commented.

A few of the males in the lift were looking at me with lustrous eyes, yet none dared to approach me thanks to the suit I was wearing.

To them, I looked like a girl from overseas who had no idea about Indian culture.

Well, I guess that is a good thing.

The elevator reached its stopping point, which was a flyover that led in six different directions.

Moving swiftly, I used the flyover to cross the road next to the City Square Mall.

[Entrance - Locked.]

I could perfectly see the billboard floating on top of the Mall, but I was determined to save my men no matter what.

Coming down the elevator, I was greeted by a crowd of people at the entrance of the City Square Mall.

"Kill all those traitors!"

"Let them reveal Rajah's location before they die!"

"Make sure to torture them as you end them!"

Hearing the angry shouts from the public, I gritted my teeth in frustration.

Gaurav had managed to deceive everyone into believing that I was responsible for the murders that occurred in India.

'How can I regain the people's trust? Simply telling them the truth won't suffice. I need to show them the truth,' I thought as I approached the soldier guarding the entrance, dressed in white.

"Apologies, Miss. The entrance is reserved only for the special guest of King Gaurav."

"Special guest, my ass," I cursed under my breath, realizing that I was the one he was waiting for.

To capture people's attention, I declared, "Every individual in India is special. We all have the right to witness the demise of those who have caused us immense suffering."

Upon hearing the loud cheers from behind me, the soldier became flustered. "Silence, all of you! You're making this difficult for me as well! Don't you think I want to witness those bastards burn to death?"

Although his words made sense, people still attempted to enter, charging at him in an attempt to force their way into the city mall.

Pew—! Pew—! Pew—!

Three warning shots were fired, but as a soldier, he had no right to kill civilians, even if they were criminals. Knowing this, people charged at him, creating a stampede that left the poor guard falling to the ground.

"Yahhh!"

Bam—! Bam—! Bam—!

A resounding battle cry echoed through the air as the crowd began banging on the slick, large wooden door adorned with metal carvings.

Internally, I was grinning, as the situation was working in my favor. However, a sense of unease slowly enveloped my body.

BOOM—!

The moment the door shattered open, I finally realized why I was feeling uneasy.

"Everybody stop! It's a trap!"

The people ignored me, along with my wanted posters posted on the mall, as they rushed inside the nearly empty mall.

"Darn it!" I cursed.

"As a king, I can't let my people die in vain."

I followed through the tiled floor, shouting to stop my people from going further inside.

However, when I reached the middle, I was greeted by an unexpected sight of three dead bodies hanging on the ceiling like livestock.

"What are they doing here?" I muttered, feeling my feet grow heavy. Tears streamed down my cheeks.

"Mom... Uncle... Ishwar..." My pupils shook in disbelief before I let out the loudest yell of my life, "No!"

It was as if the heavens had forsaken me, as a robotic feminine voice echoed, "Unidentified individuals have forced entry into the King's Seat. Elimination of targets has been granted."

Iron doors covered the entire mall, leaving it in a dimly lit state. Not only that, but small holes started to form on the black doors.

"Fire!"

After that system shout, bullets started to violently rain down in the mall. I found myself shot in various life-threatening positions.

I may have fallen to the ground with everyone else, but I didn't scream even though my life was nearing an end.

However, I soon discovered something I hadn't considered, "I'm not dying, why?"

Pew—!

A bullet through my brain answered my question, undoing the small illusion created by that first-generation system.

"Argh!" I groaned, as the pain in my forehead was unbearable. Nevertheless, I still didn't die like a normal human being.

"Is it the effects of that blue mosquito, or is it something related to that weird dream?"

I could somehow understand that the bug had something to do with immortality. However...

"Why am I the only one to live? I don't want to live when everyone I know is gone!"

Pew—!

Another bullet passed through my heart, yet I remained alive.

Pew—!

Again.

Pew—!

Again.

Pew—!

Damn it! Why do I have to live while everyone else dies? Why do I have to live?

"I want to die!"

At the end of my cry, tears and blood washed over my body.
