I will always be a nerd to him huh? Seth thought to himself.

"You're too smart to be anything but that." Leon laughed. "But that is something I like about you too. So don't get down about it." Leon grabbed Seth's shoulder making him look at his green eyes. Seth couldn't help but smile. "I just think it's funny that you're so smart and you can't get the basics of skiing though."

"Hey, it's not my fault." Seth snapped again.

"Here let me tell you something. If you want to move, you need to bend your knees. If you don't do that you will fall." Seth copied what Leon was doing. He was able to move around without falling. "Wow, I can do it!" Seth was overjoyed at his accomplishment.

"Now I'm the teacher." Leon laughed. "But here is the real question. Do you think you can ski down the Bunny Lane?" The Ski resident had three different sky slopes. Bunny Lane, Tiger Lane, and King Cobra Lane. Bunny Lane was for small children and beginners. The hill is so small, that if you make a mistake, you won't get hurt as if you were on another of the Lanes that the resort had. The Tiger Lane was for someone that was that wanted to advance up, but was not completely ready for the final Lane. It did have some obstacles, but not much. There were a few places that you could make small jump. The last one was King Cobra Lane. It was for the experienced skiers. It was a very steep hill going down. There are several obstacles and jumps all through the course until you get to the bottom. Sometimes the resort holds competitions with that Lane.

"I can try it." Seth replied. "But um…" Seth looked over at Leon.

"What is it?" Leon questioned. Seth's head hung down as his eyes looked up at Leon. "Can you ski with me?"

"Are you serious?" Leon started to crack up. "You want me to go with you down that tiny slope?" "It's not funny." Seth mumbled. "It's the first time I have skied. I want you next to me." "Yeah yeah. I don't care. I'll go with you." Leon answered.

"Really." Leon nodded his head.

"Let's try it." The two teen's headed to the Bunny Lane and started going down. Seth had several accidents going down the small slope that Leon could only laugh at the other teen.

Snow was smashed again by Seth's bottom hitting it again. Laughter from Leon was all that Seth could hear. He was trying his best on the skies, but he could never get past two steps without falling right down on his butt. Leon was not helping in the least either. He was laughing at Seth every time he hit the ground.

"You know you could help me up you jerk." Seth snapped. Leon walked over to Seth and extended a hand out. Seth took it and pulled himself back up.

"How many times does that make." Leon questioned. "Eight, was it?" "I don't kno-aahhh." Seth was right back on his butt again.

"Make that nine." Leon burst out in laughter. Seth not finding it very amusing. Seth was glad he was wearing the clothes that Leon told him to get before they came here. It was a heavy coat and some thick pants. It felt weird with the thickness of the clothes. Something he was not used to. Yet, every time he fell on the ground. It didn't hurt as much. The thick mittens really helped keep his hands warm every time he touched the snow when he fell. The goggles around his head was something he thought he would need as well. However, with all the falling he's doing. Seth felt that they were not needed in the least. Leon helped Seth back to his feet again. Seth brushed off his butt that has become sore from all the falling. "You keep falling because you're not balanced." Leon spoke out. "I'm sorry that I can't balance myself." Seth snapped back.

"Don't get snippy with me. You were the one that said you didn't want to have any help and try it all by yourself." Leon reminded the words Seth had spoken before they started skiing.

"Well, I was wrong." Seth looked over to the side. "I…I wanted to be cool in front of you. I thought if I could get it without any help, you'd think I was more than a nerd." Seth's voice was soft as he spoke. His eyes never ventured over to Leon's.

"You're always going to be a nerd to me no matter what you do." Leon laughed. Seth looked over at Leon who was grinning.
