Now the ship of male lead and female lead could said smoothly. 

Ariel looked forward to the new chapters as she snuggled in her cosy blanket and hugged her teddy bear, not feeling bad for the antagonist at all.

'Ting.'

Someone replied to her comment as she was about to close her laptop. 

Adjusting the glasses that covered half her face, Ariel clicked on the red notification icon. 

"How are you so certain she is evil? We don't know her background circumstances. Maybe she had reasons behind her actions."

Her comment had gained popularity with over a hundred likes. Right now, it sits on the top. 

While other readers showed their full support for Ariel's satisfaction towards the antagonist's demise, this outlier objected. 

Ariel narrowed her eyes at the screen. "Who the fuck is this?" She mumbled herself as she stalked the person Id. Surprisingly, it was a new ID. An account was made just ten minutes ago. "That's so weird."

Anyhow, she couldn't stop herself from commenting.

"No matter her background circumstances, her means and methods are not justified. She is a person full of jealousy, greed and cruelty." Ariel rightfully commented back.

'Ting'

"That's one side of the story. Maybe there was something that drove her actions."

"Even then, not justified."

"What if you were in her place?"

"What do you mean?" She replied with a laughing emote.

"If you are at the edge of the knife, would you still say the same?"

Ariel frowned, getting annoyed at the stranger. 

What was wrong with him?

"Bro, chill. It's just a story. I don't care. Evil people go unpunished in real life all the time. It's cathartic to see them suffer for once in stories like this. Let us keep this tiny bit of satisfaction and stop policing everything."

'Ting.'

"No one is truly bad or good. Again, if it's either death or this, would you still say the same?"

Ariel was tempted not to reply but she felt like the strange person gonna keep annoying her persistently. So she nonchalantly texted him back.

"Yes."

Hopefully, her succinct response would cue him she didn't intend to continue the conversation. 

After that, she closed the laptop and main lights. She turned on the fairy lights that decorated her room's wall. Taking off her heavy glasses, she placed them at the side table. She pulled over the warm, comfy blanket ready to fall into a deep sleep.

What a wonderful weekend! 

After reading tons of novels, she felt rejuvenated. Next week gonna be hectic, as it had always been. The clinical rotations of her third year of medical college left her exhausted at the end of the day. Only at the weekend, she would find time to indulge in the world of fantasies.

"Such a pity." Her mind kept thinking about the crazy novel she read. Its ups and downs, the adventures of the main protagonists, the romance so hot that it would swirl you up from your feet. The fights, struggles and life. Then she thought back to her life. 

An introvert who was limited to books, lectures, studies and the same boring life everyone lived. An equally nerdy person in the name of the only friend she had. Never went out on outings. Never mingled with boys. Never dated. Never felt someone's kiss. 

Always occupied a silent corner with her black-rimmed thick glass and thick books sighting from a distance all the cool students hanging about. 

No, her life was even more boring than your average boring person.

Maybe she lacked courage.

Maybe, she was just lazy. 

Unwilling to step out of her comfort zone. 

As she felt a sense of gloom suffusing her chest, she consoled herself. "It's alright. Who wants to deal with all that mess? I am happy without having to do anything and experience all the joy through the books."

As she slowly drifted to sleep, she heard a light 'ting' in the background. 

Her half-asleep mind failed to register this and she fell into a deep slumber unaware this was going to be the last night of peace she was going to have.
