They say darkness follows light, that there can be no light without darkness, but they fail to mention that darkness lives without light.
Darkness exists in the absence of light, light can be extinguished, but darkness is everlasting, for it can only be hidden, but never killed. The only way to truly fight the dark, is to conquer it. Fight fire with fire, poison with poison, and darkness with darkness.
A young, accomplished thief, gets greedy, and attempts a target out of his league. He fails, only to be shown mercy and kindness for the first time in his life, and taught the meaning of goodwill. He hoped to spend his life supporting her cause, but soon realizes that he was no knight.
Cheating beats rules, fighting fair against dirty is asking to lose, criminals grows faster than any justice.
The boy decides to be the darkness that supports the light he chose to fight for, the shadow of the sun.
