The Unwanted guest

The night felt more terrifying after the fearful silence, when the frightening thunderstorm stopped. It seemed that the moon had faded away somewhere. Experimental worksheets and different papers were dispersed on the table. She was busy preparing dinner in the kitchen, holding a bowl of soup and grilled ham toast turned towards the table and sat there. Suddenly she stood up from the chair and walked towards the window. She was now staring at the dark sky maybe trying to find the hidden moon.The sudden knock on the door startled her. She thought,"who could it be ....?!".After few minutes ,the door was knocked again this time with more force.she walked towards the door with all her courage and opened it. Her fear faded by seeing the known one,but she was not so happy for welcoming the Unwanted guest."John?" she said investigating the situation."Hi! Jane.Happy to see me!?" he said without a break staring at her."Well ! I'm not so sure about that."she said ruthlessly turning back.He was disappointed by her reply but stepped inside before her.
