Ethan's Task

A beautiful woman with wavy blonde hair was raging, throwing all her belongings off her desk. While Ethan and Eric were busy catching the important items, like circus performers, so that Helena would not regret it later.

Why? There was an antique urn from the eastern kingdom, a gift from Queen Altara when Helena won the sword fight among the junior knights under the age of 17. There was also a desk clock decorated with emeralds, made specifically for Helena, a gift from King Altara when she won the biggest prey in the hunting festival. There were still many other valuable items that Helena forgot the value of and threw away in a fit of anger.

"Why does Grandfather keep helping Liana? It's clear that she's incapable of running the business," Helena raged again.

"My lady, calm down! If you keep fighting Lady Liana, His Grace will think that you want to bring Lady Liana down by any means," Eric tried to give advice. His brunette hair was already very messy from dealing with Helena's behavior.

"What should I do then?" protested Helena. "I didn't even cheat Liana, but she keeps digging her own grave. And Grandfather keeps helping her."

"Didn't you say that His Grace will put both of you in charge of your own branches for determination? How about you just focus on planning to increase the hotel's profits?" This time, it was Ethan who spoke.

Helena looked at her husband and found that Ethan's words were quite smart, even though he looked very foolish right now because his hands, head, and feet were filled with the items Helena had thrown.

"If you keep cornering and embarrassing Liana, I'm afraid His Grace will make things difficult for you in the future," Ethan added. He rearranged the items in his hands on the desk as Helena seemed to have calmed down.

Ethan now began to remember the original plot in the book. Although Duke Henry gave the same opportunity to win, giving branches of hotels with the same difficulty, Liana still emerged as the winner.

Initially, Helena was ahead because she could improve management and increase hotel profits by ten percent. However, during the evaluation, Duke Henry asked two people to disguise themselves as beggars who came to Liana's and Helena's hotels to beg. Liana, of course, treated the beggars very well, giving them free rooms and food. Meanwhile, Helena, who should have acted professionally, gave the beggars food and money and asked them to leave immediately because she did not want to disturb the guests' comfort.

Because a prince of Altara saw Liana's kindness, he helped Liana by injecting a large amount of capital because he believed Liana's kindness would bring good fortune. With that, the duke finally won Liana.

For no clear reason, an investor saw Helena's employees driving away the beggars who came to her place and deemed it a bad thing even though the hotel had given them money and food. The investor then withdrew all his investments from Helena's hotel and caused Helena to suddenly suffer a huge loss.

'How great the plot armor given by the author to the heroine is,' Ethan thought, shaking his head. 'What's wrong with giving alms to a beggar and asking them to leave to maintain the hotel's atmosphere? Not all guests have a heart of gold and feel comfortable with beggars around them, right? As long as there is no insult or abuse, there should be no problem.'

Ethan looked at Helena with hope. For some reason, after seeing Helena being treated unfairly by Duke Henry, he wanted to protect her and prevent her from losing.

"I think it would be better to leave Liana alone for now since there is no point in blaming her for her failure at the perfume store," added Ethan. "His Grace will still help Liana because that is not up for debate."

Meanwhile, Eric looked admiringly at Ethan. He didn't expect Ethan to be more useful than he had imagined. "I completely agree, my lady! What Ethan said makes a lot of sense. How about you also focus on the second requirement requested by His Grace?"

Ethan and Helena looked at Eric with surprise. "What do you mean?" they asked at the same time.

"It's best that you start thinking about having a child, my lady!" said Eric with a shy smile on his face. "Isn't His Grace wanting you to have an heir soon? From that aspect alone, you're already superior to Lady Liana. You have a partner to make a child with, while Lady Liana doesn't."

Ethan was stunned. How could he forget about that? He looked at Helena with hopeful eyes and said, "Eric, you are very clever. In every aspect, my wife is far superior to Lady Liana right now. Why don't we give His Grace a grandchild right away, my dear?"

However, Helena's response was truly surprising. The woman kicked Eric and Ethan at the same time, calling them lecherous and unworthy.

"You scoundrels! Do you think I'm a cow who can only give birth to please her owner?" Helena went on a rampage and slammed the door hard in front of the two unfortunate men's noses.

Meanwhile, Eric and Ethan could only look at each other while rubbing their sore buttocks from the strong kicks of Helena's shoes.

"Did I say something wrong?" Eric asked pitifully. "Didn't Duke Henry make that a requirement?"

"Why are you asking me? You've spent more time with that mare than I have!" protested Ethan, still rubbing his sore bottom. "I don't understand why such a fierce woman is afraid of making love. Does she think she can have a child without going through the biological process? Are there test-tube babies here?"

Suddenly, Eric's expression changed. Ethan was afraid that he might mention something weird that would make Eric suspicious of him. "Oh my God, why did I mention test tube babies? I should have been more careful with my words."

"Ethan!"

"Y-yes?"

"Your task is to seduce Lady Helena into having a baby soon!"
