Before I could completely process any of the signals Aeter vision was firing my way, or any other sense for that matter, I moved my body instinctively to dodge.
The stench of rotting blood and meat lingered in my nose and the disturbance I felt in the air continued to grow as my body rolled forward, barely missing the charge of a dashing figure that swept everything in its path.
The figure continued to madly bulldoze through the forest behind me while I was busy lamenting the lack of control I had over intent.
Coming to a halt just as a loud crash rumbled through the forest, I twisted my body and planted my hands on the earth in a readied stance.
Feeling that the connection I tried to cultivate quickly cut off and the mysterious voices vanish, annoyance flared in my chest.
‘This rock brain just had to try his luck.’ I mumbled, looking at the beast.
