CHAPTER 1 : PILOT

The cold breeze passing through the trees felt rejuvenating. The day seemed a little too perfect. Maybe it was after all a great day but she wouldn't know. Atleast not yet...

Ayesha woke up startled. Her head was spinning wildly. Unable to see anything, she tried reaching out with her hands mid-air. Her eyes felt like they were on fire. She could still feel the cold breeze brushing through her hair and going through the pores of her skin. Ayesha closed her eyes in an attempt to calm her nerves. She could feel pain everywhere.

'You are going to be okay. Deep breaths' ayesha'

Ayesha woke up with a startle yet again. This time the cold breeze seemed distant but the pain was still eminent. Ayesha didn't give in to it this time. opening her eyes as much as she could, she saw a chandelier hanging right above her head. Grunting and gasping for breath, Ayesha streches her legs and tries her best to roll over to the floor. She notices a dark blue and green silk bedsheets she was sleeping on. Her mind felt oozy and nausea kicked in. Just as she was about to fall onto the carpet below, there was a huge noise at the end of room. Ayesha strained her eyes to look and noticed the huge metal door possibly the entrance to the room. The golden hand bars seemed to trun left to right before the door was flung open.

'My my, what are you doing now mi lady? '

'I.... I ca.. ntt.... '

Before Ayi could finish, she puked all over the intruder's legs. Feeling faintly better, she looked up to find a woman in her 20's dressed in a gown.

The woman hovering over the vomit didn't turn into a fit of rage but instead looked at the girl with lovley gaze.

"Now now, if you weren't feeling okay you should have told me before hand. See I don't like you shutting me out. I will always take care of you. You know that right? " she immediately went to fetch something from the other side of the room.

Ayesha could now sit right up with no support. Even though her mind was hazy, she was able to take in what was happening around her. She realised that earlier she was on a luxurious king size bed with artistic engravings carved on what looks like gold. The chandelier on top was connected to the ceiling filled with numerous paintings and inscriptions. The window panels on to her left was huge covered with long and embroidered curtains hanging low.

Ayesha's mind started spinning once again but this time it wasn't for the same reason. SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE SHE WAS. The palace-like architecture, the grand and expensive clothes, the room decor and the unfamiliar lady in the room. Everything hit ayi at the same time. Something's wrong, very wrong.

The woman leaned over ayesha's legs to clean the rest of the retch. She looked over at the girl and had a concerning face.

Ayi inhaled deeply and mustered up the courage.

" Where... am I? umm who are you and why was I passed out here?! " she blurted the questions spontaneously.

The woman gave out a laugh. " Hilarious, however don't try this with mother. She is already worried sick about you "

"Mother?" Ayi stared right into the woman's eyes.

"My mother passed away 11 years ago.. "

The woman no longer had a the calm demeanor she walked in with. "Look roohi, this is not funny. You already messed up things and now this? Don't ever disrespect mother like that" saying this, the woman took her leave.

Getting up and standing felt so weird. Almost as if she didn't quite belong there. The feelings were overwhelming. Ayi walked over towards the window and looked outside to the picturesque view of the vast land. There were extensions of the palace she was in and it spread till her eyes could see. At the end, there was a dense forests and tall mountains right behind it. The view was breathtaking.

Ayi looked on teary eyed, overtook by her mixed emotions. Collapsing on the ground, she wept till noon...
