In 1986, Shinpo High School in Incheon made history as the first school to air a music video during its annual broadcast festival. It was a surprising feat, considering video cameras were a luxury at the time, far beyond the budget of any school's broadcast club. In an era dominated by radio as the primary media platform, Shinpo High's homemade music video sent shockwaves through the other schools in the region.
At the center of this groundbreaking project was Ryu Ji-ho, a second-year student who played a pivotal role in bringing the vision to life. As the head of the technical division, Ji-ho was deeply involved in every aspect of the production—acting as producer, videographer, and editor. With the most experience in video recording among his peers, it was only natural for him to take the lead. Word of his skills spread quickly, and soon, Ryu Ji-ho's name became a topic of conversation within broadcast clubs all over Incheon.
