Chapter 4: Pawns

Saorsa heard a cold female voice in his head, he was slightly surprised before regaining his usual calm again, the succession of too many shocking events made him more or less desensitized to strange occurrences now. He responded to the prompt requesting his name:

"Enter name... Saorsa Amon"

[Name Registered successfully. Welcome Saorsa Amon to the demon summoning program.]

Saorsa's phone vibrated faintly, the screen suddenly changed from his normal background to a holographic projector that showed the following:

[Party]-[Equipement]-[Apps]

He noticed that only the Party section was accessible, the other two sections were grayed out, it seemed that they were not available for now, Saorsa then mentally selected the first section, this action of his surprisingly worked, he smiled bitterly at this revelation, he never thought that his free time spent on Earth reading system novels would help out at this time:

Mag:10 [ Granted by ????, affects Magical attacks and Mana size]

Saorsa couldn't help but raise his brow at the "Magic" and "Affinity" stats, it seemed that the mysterious being indeed granted them a very generous weapon, and that is the ability to use magic, but he's limited by the fact that he can only use gravity-related skills.

"But, where can I learn these skills ?" he was still confused by this demon summoning program, it didn't provide any guide, it seems that he can only deduce by himself how to use it.

Saorsa focused his gaze on the Disclaimer below, his previously raised brows quickly frowned, he shook his head: "Three demons? This doesn't seem to be much, that mysterious being implied that the demons will not be very welcoming to us humans. Besides, how can we summon demons in the first place ?" His confusions only continued to increase.

He decided to go to an isolated store in a dilapidated mall, he couldn't trust this camp and let his guard down while trying to comprehend the inner mechanisms of this demon summoning program. That was foolish behavior.

He found an abandonned furniture store after walking a good while, it had many chairs in which he could sit in, he went to the nearest one, it looked comfortable enough for him.

The moment he sat on the chair, all of his muscles relaxed, this was the only semblance of comfort he had yet in this strange event.

Saorsa took his phone again, he stared at the holographic screen silently...

"Is this a chance to regain my freedom?" his eyes showed complex colors, but most of all, they showed a strange sense of relief.

"As miserable as this situation may be, I'll take any chance to take control of my destiny, even if it means teetering on the edge death." his face was resolute, he stopped dilly-dallying and focused his energy on getting all the clues he could from the Demon Summoning Program.

Daniel And Braun were still immersed in the demon summoning program, it wasn't until Saorsa left that they regained their calm.

"This is...worse than I thought it would be" Daniel unconsciously rubbed his nose, he felt a headache suddenly form in his head, he didn't expect this mess to be bigger than it was.

"Hmph! Old man, I think now you don't have any room to disagree with me! this monster summoning program changes everything, who knows what these ungrateful scum in the camp will think when they know of its existence, all your goodwill will be wasted for naught!" Braun dropped his usual cheerful smile, he couldn't pretend in front of Daniel anymore, he was tired of his heroic charade, it shouldn't be wasted on scum!

"Sigh...Braun, you shouldn't think like that, no matter what malice these people have in their heart, it can't be blamed on them, no one wanted to be in a situation like this..."Daniel showed a pained expression when he heard Braun, he didn't expect this child to turn like this.

"Old Man! Get a grip on yourself, please! let's run from here and leave these guys, you don't know how evil people can be if they see the potential power in front of them! How can you still not get this !"Braun's angry eyes showed slight sadness, but he still didn't relent in his persuasion.

"Braun I don-"

Booom!

The ground suddenly shook intensely, it felt like a rocket launching its full might. The entire mall trembled, huge pieces of debris fell on the ground, all the previously fainted people woke up with fear in their eyes.

Everyone was shocked by this, did a bomb suddenly launch? Daniel and Braun who were beside the door witnessed what happened with horror in their eyes.

Smoke was rising from a four-meter crater, a huge silhouette with a towering height of 10 meters was seen stepping out of it, with a light swipe of his gigantic spear, the smoke around him was blown away with ease.

"Humans. I, Titan, Sworn Knight of the Divine Powers, have come to smite you !"

In a seemingly normal forest full of healthy green trees, no one could know the existence of a gigantic castle underground.

Statues of deities, Impregnable magical walls, Somber painting, this castle could only be described as oppressive and intimidating for the average person.

Thousands upon thousands of demons that could seemingly kill a human with their breath could be seen guarding a room in the main hall of this mysterious castle.

Inside This chamber were three stone thrones, three silhouettes could be seen sitting at the thrones, each emitted a terrifying breath that seemed unfathomable, but the one in the middle throne had the most suffocating presence.

He looked like a young dark-skinned boy, his mid-length blue hair was mostly hidden by a dark green fedora, his forehead was marked by a small blue jewel, a long golden flute with mysterious runes was sitting on his lap.

The room was silent until he slowly opened his pale blue eyes without pupils, he lightly chuckled:

"Oh... it seems that some humans are still alive. Odin, send someone to kill them, our salvation can't be hindered by pawns," he said with a faint smile, his alluring voice could make every losing their guard instantly, his eyes showing no emotions whatsoever.

"Yes, Lord Krishna, I will send some of my soldiers to eliminate the pawns as soon as possible" The silhouette on the right of Krishna, Odin, said before he suddenly vanished into nothingness.
