Hadyan returned from his study. The sun was up and the entire palace was asleep. He entered the room as quietly as possible. It was a lovely sight. The figure he missed was now sleeping where it should be: in their bed. Tasia was still asleep in the exact position as before Hadyan left her for work.
The woman was sleeping on her stomach because her entire back was left exposed, with a blackish-green medicine. Even though he was happy that Tasia didn't show any feelings of fear for him, Hadyan still couldn't breathe a sigh of relief. Seeing the empress suffer was like a dagger stabbed into his heart.
After bathing, Hadyan climbed into bed carefully. He sat in silence for a long time staring at Tasia's weak body beside him. The skinny body was only covered with a blanket up to her waist. With trembling hands, Hadyan carefully removed the white cloth from Tasia's body.
