10~Kate

The boy said nothing but looked resentfully at Luca as if he had done something unforgivable.He glared at Luca which was not something Luca was used to(except his dad) receiving.

The glaring Kate had brunette hair and dull looking grey eyes.The eyes were different from the Elder's sparkling grey one's.Those eyes bored into Luca face.

'Umm..Did I do something wrong...?'said Luca while rubbing his forehead,not taking his eyes off Kate.

Luca was expecting another shouting but was surprised .Kate suddenly vanished!It was as if he had disappeared into thin air.He looked around and was again surprised to see him near the other corner patting a baby to sleep.Kate stood there doing that for another five minutes and came back to Luca.

'Err..How did you do that?'said Luca looking curiously at Kate's face.

'Do what?and keeping your tone down.The babies are napping'said Kate with a hushed and hurried voice.

"But you are the one who woke the children up"thought Luca.

'How did you do that?'said Luca again.

'Again,WHAT??'

'You were right infront of me but you suddenly appeared behind me near the kids and all within a second.How did you do that?'said Luca in a hushed voice

'I walked,stupid'said Kate sitting down near Luca 'and get off my bed'

Luca stood up and climbed to the top bed.He looked near the room and couldn't fine anything.It then hit him that he was not home;with mom;and her delicious cooking. What will be mom's mental state if she hears the news.It's been almost two months since the accident, she must have heard of it.And what if she thinks that I am not alive.He wished he asked the Elder about his mother instead of crying.

Kate was looking up at him,looking troubled'Hey,why are you crying?'

'Huh..Bu-but I am not.....'Before he could finish the sentence silent tears started falling out.His sad and paining mother's face was the only thing he could see.He wiped the tears away and came down.

'You okay?Wait, let me fetch some napkins.'said Kate rummaging through the nearest chest of drawers.

Luca stood there laughing through the tears at what Kate was doing.He was sure anyone who saw this will be in disbelief as Kate had been shouting hoarse at him ten minutes ago.

'Why are you laughing,stupid'said Kate looking as if Luca had gone crazy from crying.

'I am not stupid and I will be going for a walk outside.'said Luca.

'You cannot go outside.It's prohibited'said Kate

'Huh?Why?'

'Well you cannot go out in the sun anyway, plus, why do you wanna go outside?'

'Sun...?Oh,I just wanna take a look around'said Luca.

'Wait here,someone will come here to take you outside.'said Kate as if it was the obvious thing.

'Right,I will wait then.'said Luca settling down on the bottom bunk.

Kate glanced at him,gave some napkins he found in the drawers and tsked at him.

Luca somehow found this very funny.The change in attitude surprised him but now he wanted to make this tsundere guy his friends;since he had none before.
