Chapter 3: Departure!

[Haf… Haf… Third Form: Raging Sun!]: soren

Soren released 2 horizontal slashes towards Tanjuro's incoming attack, dispersing the simple yet terrifying attack made by Tanjuro's half assed sword swing, and watched as his attack destroyed Tanjuro's albeit with a bit of struggle.

[Haha!... Nicely done!... But can you take this?]: tanjuro

Tanjuro then put a little effort into his next swing, as he sent a cross shaped flame attack towards Soren while mumbling the simple yet terrifying name.

[Twelfth Form: Flame Dance]: tanjuro

Soren watched as the attack came flying at him at an incredible speed, but upon steading himself, he responded with his own move as he shouted.

[Thirteenth Form!]: soren

The thirteenth form of Sun Breathing had a simple name, being Thirteenth Form. And when Tanjuro saw Soren perform this form, a smile appeared upon his face, as he sheathed his blade, and watched as Soren performed each of the 12 forms all together, making use of the Thirteenth Form, and when both attacks disappeared, Soren was left exhausted, while Tanjuro was left with a smile on his face as he spoke.

[Well done!... It took 4 years, but there is nothing more for me to teach you, and everything from here is all achieved through battle experience… I'm proud of you, Soren]: tanjuro

Soren caught his breath as he started circulating the breathing technique, as he was once more reminded about how long he has been training with Tanjuro, and he quickly became a young man, while Soren was quickly tackled by a small figure who seemed to be watching the battle from afar.

[Nezuko!... Why did you tackle me?]: soren

Soren caught the small figure in his arms as he let himself fall into the snow, as the small figure of a 4 year old stared at her most favorite "older brother".

[Brother Soren!... That was so cool, you almost beat dad!]: nezuko

Soren could only dryly chuckle, as he knew that he was far from beating Tanjuro, but only accepted her words as he scratched the back of his head.

[Yeah!... Ahaha… Anyway, let's go eat, I'm hungry!]: soren

Soren diverted the conversation, as he got up with Nezuko in his arms, as he walked towards the house just in time to meet with Tanjiro, as he came from the back of the house with an axe in hand.

[Hey, Tanjiro!... You just get done chopping up the wood?]: soren

Soren looked over at the young 9 year old as he held the small axe in his hand, while he was also out of breath, but was slowly accustoming himself to the increase in oxygen after finishing his work, and after catching his breath he spoke.

[Yeah!... Though I don't see why you no longer chop wood with me]: tanjiro

Soren only laughed, as he still chopped wood, but he would do it early in the morning, while the rest of the day was spent training with Tanjuro who would teach Soren the Sun Breathing forms, but he had no idea Soren already had the basic knowledge of how to perform the Sun Breathing forms, but training only increased his proficiency in Sun Breathing.

[Don't worry, I still do my chores, I just do them earlier than you, haha!]: soren

Soren then walked into the house with both Nezuko and Tanjiro, while subconsciously he opened his status screen.

When Soren heard this, his face went blank, as the rage he felt inside was too much, but quickly calmed himself down as he spoke to the system.

'And you chose NOW to tell me!?!?... What kind of System are you!?': soren

Though Sakura was a bit snarky with her reply, Soren couldn't argue with her logic, as it was indeed as such, so he swallowed his anger, and spoke a single sentence.

Soren was looking over his rewards, and watched as they appeared inside his inventory, while he also decided to go over his items, and called his inventory space up.

When Soren heard that he would have to go through thousands of items, he decided against it as to rid himself of a future headache, but decided to inquire about the specifics of what would appear.

'No, but what kinds of items would be shown?': soren

Upon hearing the list of specifics, the only thing that interested Soren was the Common Manuals, so he asked.

'Sakura, what are common manuals?... Are they like Cooking, Cleaning, and basic necessities?': soren

{Yes and no… Common is referring to the grade of the manual… The grades go as such… Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Unique, Special, and Ultimate… It's also good to note that Weapons will follow a similar system, ranging from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Unique, Special, and Ultimate}

'Cool!... So are there loot boxes?... And what grade is my Sun Breathing Manual?': soren

{Yes, there are indeed loot boxes, but they are only obtained in the Lottery House, as well as special quests, like Hidden Quests, and as for your Breathing Manual, It is of the Epic grade, while it's predecessor, the Breathing Manual was of the Unique grade}

When Soren heard this, he became upset, and questioned the drop in rarity.

{Unable to fully explain, but in a simple explanation, the Breathing Manual was applicable to any and every breath ever created, but you chose to transform it into the Sun Breathing Manual}

'Son of a BITCH!!!... Why does nobody stop me from making stupid decisions!': soren

Soren could only deadpan at the Systems remark, but all he could do was leave it be, so that's exactly what he did, as he went to go eat dinner with the others.

Soren was caught by Tanjuro's words, and simply stated while eating.

[I'll be leaving to travel the nearby villages, and kill some Demons if I come across any]: soren

When Tanjuro heard Soren's words, he felt proud, but he also felt worried, and quickly reminded Soren of the danger.

[You're powerful, Soren… But so are the Demons, and while I'm sure you could take the normal demon, there are demons with supernatural powers that rival the Slayers, and these Demons are the true problems, so I want you to be careful out there]: tanjuro

Soren nodded with a smile on his face, while Aimi came into the room with red puffy eyes, as she hugged her son, and handed him a simple box with a word of advice for him.

[Take these… They were your fathers… Also, be safe, and if the situation looks dangerous, or it looks like you can't find a simple solution, I want you to flee, even if it seems cowardly, I want you to be safe… So promise me, son… Promise me I will see you again]: aimi

When Soren heard the words that were choked out by his mother, he had some tears form in his eyes as he spoke in a raspy tone.

The hug was then broken, as Soren opened the simple wooden box, and inside were a simple set of earrings that depicted a rising sun over a hill, the earrings in the box matched Tanjuro's, as everyone from the Kamado clan wore the same kind of earrings, and they were passed down to their children. Soren then took one of them and sucked in a cold breath as he stabbed the sharp tip into his earlobe, as a little bit of blood traced down his earlobe, before putting the other one in as well. Soren now had his fathers earrings, as they were slightly hidden by his long red hair that wildy ran down his back to his shoulder blades.

[Goodbye, everyone!... When I come back, I'll be a Demon Slayer!]: Soren

The next morning, Soren began saying his goodbyes, while his mother was holding back her tears, and both Nezuko and Tanjiro cried as they hugged Soren saying their goodbyes, leaving Tanjuro with a simple katana with the handle wrapped in a red silk cord, sheathed in a red lacquer finished sheath, as he hugged Soren goodbye, and handed him the sword as he spoke.

[This sword is known as a Sunlight Katana, it's different to my blade, but it will kill the Demons just the same, but be careful using Sun Breathing, as too much power will shatter the blade leaving you defenseless, so only use the forms when you truly need to… This will also be a form of training]: tanjuro

Soren took the katana in hand, and started running down the mountain while waving at his family until he could no longer see them.

'Finally, I'm free… But I'll miss them… I'll make sure to save them from death… Sadly, there is no way to restore Tanjuro's life force': soren
