Eve was the first to reach the scene. The disturbance of the dark creature AX formed was what alerted her to the danger on Earth. She appeared next to the dead sisters. The first thing she took was the black pearl that contained the dark creature AX conjured. She flicked her fingers and the sisters' bodies got engulfed in flames.
"May your souls rest in peace." She joined her hands together as she murmured a reincarnation spell for the sisters.
Eve didn't notice Lyre until she felt a blue flame around him.
"Lyre!" She rushed over to the merman.
Lyre's breathing was slow. He seemed to be gasping for breath with his eyes tightly shut and his mouth agape.
She knelt next to him and placed a hand on his chest. His breathing was slow and laboured.
"Stay with me, Lyre." Eve placed a hand on his chest, to regulate his breathing. Lyre stirred a bit but didn't open his eyes. He kept his eyes tightly shut, and his grip, tight.
