"You know, I've been through a lot in my years. But, even after experiencing death itself, this takes the cake!"

The voice of a young male could be heard from within a forest as he was seen sitting down near the edge of a lake with his legs kicking back and forth in the water. However, the male wasn't a human at all, but in fact a Pokemon! This person was none other than Beat, a once normal kid who lived his normal life in a normal world.

However, that all changed in like... what? Five minutes?

He had recently just perished and was literally in the arms of Death himself. Literally. When he died due to a brain injury he literally found himself being carried in the arms of the Grim Reaper himself, that was one of the strangest experiences he had ever had. However, that wasn't even close to as weird as to what had happened now!

Like stated before, he had changed into a Pokemon!

When he had first went up to this lake and got a good look at his reflection, his first reaction was, of course, screaming in utter shock. Who wouldn't? You first know your entire life was as a human then you're suddenly transformed into a creature from a fictional world you knew so much, who the heck would believe something like that?

Someone in a mental asylum of course.

When he managed to at least calm himself down somewhat, as he knew panicking would only spell his doom as he wouldn't be thinking straight about his next actions, he managed to get a good idea of the Pokemon he had become. It was none other than a Meloetta, thankfully though, it appeared that he took on the appearance of a male one who was significantly different.

He also noticed how he literally didn't have any sexual organs anymore, in other words, his little brother was gone... He didn't exactly know how to feel about that. Aside from that, the music sheet-like addition on his arm was pretty cool. He could think of an instrument and run his hand along it and it would play that instrument, he would just need to think of the sounds to play and it would work.

Though, he didn't exactly remember there ever being a male Meloetta. Was he a special situation then?

He honestly felt like the world was playing a cruel joke on him. In his previous life, he was someone who was incredibly talented in singing, as well as music as a whole. He wasn't one to boast about it or anything, though people always said that he was an absolute prodigy and could easily sing any song after having heard it once.

He won't deny it either.

He was also labelled as a Golden Child, or also named him The Child of God. He had this incredible talent not only for music but also for learning, he would read material and easily understand it within seconds of hearing it. That was how he managed to easily learn things like how to play instruments, and also other languages. If some could sing in multiple languages, your reputation would skyrocket.

"Hold the phone, does that mean I'll be capable of being caught? That's horrible!"

Beat could only pale at the thought as he really didn't want to know what it felt like to be shoved into one those balls, it sounded weird, but also terrifying. Would he feel like he was trapped in some room? He didn't have claustrophobia or anything like that, but being stuck in a closed space like a Pokeball still sounded terrifying.

"Man, you may be able to sing really damn well. But your scream can certainly kill someone's ears! What's so scary about that?"

"I don't know, the fact that I'll be stuck in an enclosed space?"

"So? You'll get used to it, we're Pokemon after all."

"I used to be human..."

"You keep saying that, but I can't bring myself to believe you." The deadpanned voice of a male could be heard talking to Beat. The voice was originating from the Pokemon that Beat had easily recognised to be a Snivy. However, his colour was different. Which meant that this Snivy he met not too long ago was a shiny. Rare, but he couldn't care less right now!

Apparently, this Snivy's name was just Snivy, like every other one out there unless given a nickname. Beat didn't know what he sounded like to a human right now, but he could understand Snivy easily and he wasn't just going 'Sni Sni Snivy!' all the damn time. He obviously could understand Snivy since he was a Pokemon himself now.

"So, what region is this exactly? I can only assume Unova since you're a Snivy."

"Of course. How don't you know the damn region you're in?" Snivy cocked an eyebrow in confusion as they next to each other while at the lake. Snivy had his tail in the lake while Beat just kicked his legs back and forth. Snivy then narrowed his eyes with a deadpan. "Oh, right. You're a human who turned Pokemon after coming from a different world."

"You can deny it all ya want, It's just facts." Beat rolled his eyes as he could sense the massive ocean of sarcasm flying off from Snivy's mouth. It was obvious the dude didn't believe. Though, he couldn't really blame the guy. "Anyway, what are you going to end up doing after this anyway? I'm probably gonna head off to find some city or whatever and see what I find."

"A city? I think there's one not too far from here. I was actually going to go there myself, wanted to check out what the outside world was all about."

"Huh, the outside world? You sheltered or something?"

"Not anymore. I'm just taking a tactical vacation."

"You booked it out of your home, didn't you?" Beat deadpanned as he looked at the Snivy sitting next to him. Snivy just looked to the side with a nervous smile as his tail awkwardly swung about in the water. Beat sighed at this. 'I sure hope his parents or siblings or whatever don't end up coming after us, I don't want to deal with a giant snake right now... or ever.'

"ANYWAY, I'm gonna hang around with you. Travelling with someone is a lot more fun than on my own."

"Sure, go ahead. Sounds fun." Beat shrugged. He didn't mind having someone to hang out with while he was stranded in this fictional world. He pretty sure he could protect himself just fine, having somehow gotten the knowledge of how to use his powers upon becoming a Pokemon. But, having some extra help wouldn't hurt.

"Plus, I've never been to a city before. I don't know what these humans are capable of. I know there are a few called trainers who can catch us Pokemon and train us up, but that's about it." Snivy shrugged his shoulders before smirking at Beat. "Plus, if you used to actually be a human, then you should know some things that we Pokemon probably don't. If you're not full of hot air that is."

"I already regret travelling with you, and we're not even on the road yet..."

"Hehehe~, just messing with ya, buddy! We should get some berries or something before we head on off from the forest around us, I have my bag that my parents made for me to carry them around." Snivy stated as he pointed at the makeshift leaf bag, it was tough too. Impressive craftsmanship. "So, let's get gatheri- ah~!"

"Huh?"

Beat went bug-eyed as Snivy suddenly let out a shout of agony as he suddenly leapt up in the air a good meter. This allowed Beat to see a Basculin was chomping down on Snivy's tail, to which the green snake landed and began running back and forth and in circles as Basculin flopped about while still bitting down on Snivy's tail.

Beat just watched for a second with a deadpanned expression on his face. Basculin must have thought that Snivy's tail was food or something, he was wiggling it back and forth in the lake like an idiot. That was just asking for something to take a bite. Beat sighed before holding his fist back as an orange energy surrounded his fist.

"Power-Up-Punch!" Beat declared as he shot his fist forwards, striking Basculin right across the face, sending him flying back into the pond. Snivy stopped running and began rolling on the ground before holding his tail and blowing on it, it had turned a bit red. "You know, you kind of totally deserved that..."

"Shut up... Ow, my tail...!"
