The night was as turbulent as the warfront where the cruel raindrops were acting as soldiers to vent their frustration and the raging winds supporting their anger.Sometimes a flash of lightning or two were suddenly illuminating the surroundings amidst the darkness with ear piercing sound making the night as horrifying as a horror movie scene.

A young man was walking slowly amidst the rain without a care in the world , without taking any preventive measures to avoid the rain. His absolute calmness and elegant walking posture were a sharp contrast against the night. He was about almost 181 cm in height. The darkness concealed his facial features. Although the heavy downpour was affecting his vision and hearing but he could guess there was not a single person in the surrounding few houses or area. He raised his head slightly, his eyes closed, he smiled. His smile was pure, there was no hidden meaning in it.

Suddenly there was a flash of lightning. In the moment of outrageous lightning he came to realise that he had come to his life's final destination, in front of a particular house.

He thought, "hmm....i am quite distracted today. This never happened before."

He paused and then smiled gently as if thinking of someone dear, "well unpredictable things keep happening after meeting her. I wonder if she will be sad after i die. Huh....i keep forgetting things..... hahaha...she will never find out about my death. Hmm....she won't be sad then."

At this moment his smile held a little bit of loneliness. He closed his eyes and preyed, "If there is any next life i wish i have a loving mother like her"

After that he opened his eyes, his gentleness completely gone,replaced by cold frost. He straightened his posture and walked towards the door. The door was unlocked. He crossed the passageway and entered the living room in complete darkness. As soon as he stepped into the living room a candle was lit up in the middle of the single coffee table in a spooky manner. A masked man sat in the nearby sofa, his eyes glued to the smartphone. The masked man with his black elegant tuxedo and latest version iphone were quite a contrast against the dilapidated house. Although the masked man had quite a harmless and casual air around him, the gun placed on the coffee table told other story.

Without a hesitation the young man sat across the masked man and quietly waited. In the candle light the handsome face of the young man revealed. He has blonde hair,green eyes,sharp jawline and his cold temperament gave him an out of reach vive.

"So you have decided?" asked the masked man playfully

"yes" the young man said.

"well... what a waste of time and resources... you know the association has asked me to give you another chance. Kill her. And you will be accepted in the association despite of your crimes . "

"No"

"you are quite stubborn huh....sigh....as the only S rank assassin your death is quite laughable and the reason also, Zero"

"maybe"

"I will ask you again, have you decided?"

"yes"

The masked man didn't waste any time. He brought out a particular file from somewhere and read out loud-

"So i will read your death sentence...

serial no. ZERO, rank: S is hereby sentenced to death by the highest authority of Star Hunt Association.The crimes committed are following....

1. Disobedience of committing assassination of target no.456 in the case file of zero's assassination attempts.

2. Assassinating 10 A rank assassins of Star Hunt Association, thus committing treason.

3. Assassinating the biggest shareholder of the Star Hunt Association.

"So, where do you prefer? Head or Heart?" the masked man took the gun in his hand.

"Heart" there was no fear in his voice. Then he closed his eyes. After a moment the gun roared but the noise was quickly subsided by the rain.

Zero opened his eyes. His heart was continuously bleeding. The masked man chuckled," oops .....my bad. The bullet didn't directly pierced the heart, slightly misdirected. But don't worry you will die in about 20 minutes."

zero closed his eyes again. He ignored the masked man. It was obvious he did it intentionally to despair him in the clutches of death. They still didn't want to let him go. He was the only Srank assassin after all. They wanted him to despair and beg them to save him. After all in front death many couldn't maintain sanity.

But to zero, life hold no meanings without her. And the organisation ordered him to kill her. If not then death awaited him. He could always ignore the association's threat but he couldn't always protect her. Most importantly he didn't want to involve her in any dangerous events. If he died , the association would not touch her as his last wish. Even if he didn't trust the association in anything he could trust it in this case,it's only redeeming feature. The association would always fulfill it's assassin's last wish if they have succeeded in more than 100 missions.

Zero was more than happy to die if it meant to keep her safe.

As his death drew near he saw a flashback of his whole life. He smiled selfmockingly. Maybe it was before death delusion. Slowly he remembered where it all started.....
