Chapter 1Whisperings of a devil

Larisa came out of the bath while drying her black silky hair with a towel.

She observed the four servant girls who stood like rigid statues, heads lowered with trays of food in their hands.

She didn't miss the slight trembling of their hands no matter how much they tried feigning calmness.

She turned a blind eye as she spoke as softly as possible, "why is it you who brought the food, where is Lifar."

Lifar was her head maid and also the only maid who didn't tremble in her presence.

The soft voice coming from the rumoured demoness princess only felt like the sweet whisperings of a devil before it takes your soul. Thinking like this they girls couldn't help trembling even more. One girl carrying soup couldn't hold the tray due to her hands shaking so much and ended up dropping the tray and soup.

The sound of breaking porcelain mixed with splashing water filled the silent room, the servant girl tremblingly peered up and met blood red orbs like something straight out of a nightmare gazing at her and her soul immediately flew out of her body from fright.

She fell to her knees followed by the other girls and started hitting her forehead on the floor as she insistently pleaded, "please pardon me princess, it waswasn't my-my-my intention to Brea-break the bowl."

She continued to bang her forehead on the floor, "please don't kill me, please don't kill me,"

Larisa stepped forward in-order to help the girl stand up but the girl crawled away from her outstretched arms in frenzy and banged her head harder as she continued to beg for mercy as a sudden with a strong will to survive.

At this late, she would kill herself before Larisa even decided if she wanted her killed or not.

Larisa's eyes contracted as she took a few steps back from the kneeling girl when she saw blood appearing on the floor from where she kept banging her head, "Stop that!" Yelled Larisa.

The three other girls lowered their heads, not daring to look at anythingelse but the floor.

The girl who was banging her looked up from the floor, her head ached like she had been hit with a hammer, a strickle of blood slid smoothly down her forehead and entered her eyes making her blurry vision turn red as she fell to the side, unconscious.

Larisa clutched her right wrist as she turned turned in the direction of her dressing room, "take your friend and the food away and get someone to clean this mess up," she just lost her appetite.

She went into her dressing room and sat in-front of the mirror. She observed her face from every angle, it was a normal face like everyone else's.She put her face closer to the mirror while squinting her eyes, red eyes, but so what, she only had different coloured eyes, was that such a big deal?

She raised her pale white hand and covered the red eyes in the mirror and for a moment she forgot about the feature that separates her from the rest of the world. She would be a normal princess loved by everyone, her servants wouldn't fear her, she would be just like everyone else, a small smile tugged at her lips at the thought, but fate is cruelly misplaced.

She brought down her hand at the same time the smile on her lips faded.

She got dressed in one of her many red dresses and accompanied it with even redder eye makeup and lipstick, drowning out her red eyes.

But no amount of red makeup or clothes could cover up her reputation as the red eyed demoness.

Because the moment you start to want more from me, I will divorce you. And the moment you break your promise and try to fight me… I will ruin you and break you apart completely. Mercilessly. You will regret ever meeting this devil tonight." His threat was given in the same soft but cold voice. But Elle did not even flinch. Her gaze never faltered either. This man was ruthless, and she knew that clearly. His eyes that moment promised nightmares and darkness without any promise of respite. But no matter what he says now, it would still not change her decision. She truly had no other choice. "I understand now…" she said quietly, steeling herself. "Since you don't trust that I will keep my word, how about we do this? You prepare the divorce documents beforehand now and I'll sign it. That way, once you decide to divorce me in the future, the papers would already have been signed and there would be no way I can trouble you about it. You would just need to send it to the lawyers and have it notarized." A heavy silence reigned before his quiet disbelieving laugh broke the silence. "I'm at a loss for words, Princess Izabelle." He looked wickedly amused. But then he started nodding in approval. "Fine, princess. I will marry you." ___ Instagram account: kazzenlx.x facebook page: author_kazzenlx Discord server: https://discord.gg/UGTA3A4 Cover is mine so don't use it. Who will help her along the journey? ~Excerpt~ Then she felt him, all of him. All his ruggedness. The strength of his arm. The softness of his lips. The grip of his hand. The warmth of his breath. Every muscle in her body went taut at the implications of sleeping in a man’s arms. She had never slept in a male’s embrace before. Her whole skin tingled like tiny sparks dancing on the very parts that connected with him. The crevices of her brain had these memories which weren't hers. This touch somehow didn't seem foreign to her. She felt safe in his soothing embrace and didn't wish to push him away and yet she knew this was far from appropriate. Cassandra tried to wriggle out of his hold, his arms seemed to be built from iron for they wouldn't budge. The light garment she had worn had lifted from her milky thigh baring it as his bronzed muscular one was draped on it. And now she could sense something poking her back. Her eyes suddenly expanded from the realisation and Cassandra fully panicked. “Let go!” She voiced out, heavily. Siroos slowly lifted his leg and slackened his hold on her waist so she could shuffle away. He had awakened when she had stiffened for the first time but wished to behold what she would try. With eyes blown wide she stole a glance towards the man who had her wrapped in his embrace like a precious treasure, his treasure. His molten gold eyes had flickered open and there was this softness and want with which he stared at her. Those soft brown curls cascaded over his eyes as he forgot to blink, watching the timeless beauty that she was. Her one-of-a-kind fragrance was a torture to his senses. How he wished to grab her dainty ankle, pull her from it and have her sprawled underneath him. To kiss the very skin that oozed such scent which was driving him insane. Instead, he bent his arm and placed it under his cheek using it like a pillow to watch her with desire-filled eyes. The awkward lull between them prolonged as Cassandra cleared her throat. “Did you have to climb on me to sleep?” “It wasn't intentional but was certainly enticing and definitely won't be the last time.” His deeply hypnotic voice was even more alluring this early in the morning as it resonated all around her.
