The Last Day...

"This is our last day of our school life, isn't it?" asked William.

"Yes...yes." replied Navarro.

"So, going to confess your love to her?" asked William.

"I just...don't know" said Navarro.

Navarro and William were sitting in the back bench of their class. As it was their last day, their class teacher let them do whatever they want to. All began to chat among themselves whereas Navarro began to worry about his girl, Abigail.

Abigail was sitting three rows away from him. Will Navarro confess his love to her before the day ends? If not, he will not find her after this day.

He glanced at his watch. He has got an hour to confess as the school will end within an hour. Just an hour.

He found her reading a story book. What if he confessed his love to her when she was reading a romantic part of the book?

He just stopped dreaming about her and tried to rehearse how to talk with her. Their class teacher went out for a meeting and there was no staff to control them. Is it an advantage for Navarro? Yes.

He kept on thinking about her. Her smile. Her eyes. Her innocence. Her brilliance. Her voice. Her ideas. Her attitude. Her humor sense. Her thoughts. Her actions. And so on...

All of a sudden, Abigail stood from her place. She looked around her. Then she looked at Navarro. Her eyes met his eyes. Navarro's heart raced fast. His body began to sweat. He became nervous. Why? Oh God, she just looked at him. Just looked.

Nope, she approached towards him. Wait, what? Abigail coming towards Navarro? Oh God, it's happening!

Navarro looked around him. None of his classmates were moving. All were just trapped in their positions. None of them were moving their eyes even. What's happening?

William, closer to Navarro too turned to be immobile. Only Abigail and Navarro are showcasing movements. Navarro was clueless. Was it magic?

Navarro tried to avoid his sight with Abigail. One row away from him, she was walking towards him, with a smile. Oh, she is smiling at him for the first time! And, Navarro was becoming a bit more nervous than before.

Abigail came closer to Navarro. She stood to his right. Navarro didn't look at her eyes. His forehead was full of sweats. What's gonna happen?

"Won't you let me sit beside you?" asked Abigail.

Those words were like sugar placing on a tongue to Navarro. Okay, be bold. Now, he glanced at Abigail.

She smiled at him. He smiled back at her. He moved few inches away and Abigail sat closer to him. She put her hands around his shoulder. It was Navarro's first physical contact with a girl. He just felt delighted and went speechless.

"So, enjoying the last day?" asked Abigail.

Navarro was a bit shocked on seeing others. Why are they looking like statues? He had no idea...

"You there?" Abigail said.

"Yea...I don't know, The day would be incomplete..." said Navarro.

"Without me?" asked Abigail.

Navarro looked at her in shock as well as in happiness. So, does that mean that she is too...

"Hey, what did you mean?" asked Navarro.

Abigail smiled and said, "Don't act like you didn't get it."

"No...I'm confused..." said Navarro.

"What made you fall in love with me?" asked Abigail.

Oops...how did she know that Navarro was in love with her? Navarro was unaware what to tell. Should he say yes? If so, will Abigail reject him? Or, should he ask what had happened to his fellow classmates?

"Before that," said Navarro, "Can you explain what's happening to others?"

Abigail looked annoyed.

"Answer my question, Nav." she said.

Navarro built his confidence. He should not lose this opportunity. He should say yes. Or else, the day will end and his school life will come to an end and he will not meet Abigail anymore. Okay, he has to react now.

But, before he opened his mouth to say yes, Abigail came closer to his mouth. Whoa, is she going to kiss him?Their lips were closer to each other.

Navarro's body began to shiver in nervousness.

"Now, say" said Abigail.

Navarro just looked at her eyes.

"Yes." he replied.

Abigail brought her lips closer to Navarro's.

"Me too." she replied.

They kissed.

Navarro heard few thuds closer to his ears.

He opened his eyes.

Abigail wasn't in front of him. It was William who made the sounds by patting on the bench, where Navarro was sleeping.

Wait, was he in sleep? Then, was that everything...a dream?

Navarro looked around and he found all his classmates and all weren't statues anymore.

"Dude, you were sleeping for the whole hour. The day is about to finish. Wake up, man!" said William.

Navarro sat in desperation. Then, all those were just a dream? Abigail...he looked for her.

He found Abigail. And she was accompanied with a boy. Her classmate.

What's she doing with a boy?

Navarro craned his neck to see what's happening there.

He found a rose with a greeting card on her desk.

What does that mean?

The boy has proposed her with a rose.

And, Abigail accepted.

Then what about Navarro?

His heart just broke to pieces. He came back to his position.

Then, that dream was just a dream? Yes. It's just a dream. Abigail is not for Navarro.

Then there came a bell and it indicated that their school has come to an end. Also his school life. Also his thoughts about Abigail.

From that day, Navarro didn't get a chance to meet Abigail and she didn't even search for him. In search of gold, she lost a diamond.

And, with a broken heart, Navarro said goodbyes to his friends and his school life came to a miserable end.
