their mistake and she vowed to use it against them. The Magi's trainers had been brutal but they had made sure nothing could stand against her and they all thought she was broken. It was their job to make sure of it. But her rage had kept her sane and her developing powers had given her the way out. She had kept them hidden for so long just waiting for an opportunity to escape. Now she was free and nobody could take her again.
She had a promise to keep, one she hadn't done for a long time. But she had to come up with a plan and so she had to wait. They had probably sent a search party by now but they would never catch her, not if she melted into the shadows. Not if she disappeared. The shadows were the only place she considered safe and if it came to it they were her only shields.
