"Russell, we have to run away now"

Russell's eyes went wide, turned his direction to look at her with a surprised "HUUUHHHH!"

Seeing his reactions makes Scarlet want to burst out laughing despite they're facing a swarm of undead man-eating monsters.

The scarlet-haired young maiden leaves no choice in this strategy since her intuition keeps bugging her as her inner soul wants to drag her to the fuel tank truck.

As Scarlet was consumed by her inner thoughts, one old man looking with a tattered formal suit attacks her Scarlet realized that she screwed up, it would be a lucky day for an old man-looking zombie that she'll become his meal.

Fortunately, Russell draws his pistol pulls the trigger, and fires at the zombie's shoulder and collar the chocolate haired-lad rushes forward in a flash as he is protecting Scarlet of not getting bitten by a zombie and using himself as a shield since his pistol's bullets are running out.

Russell's physical force is almost reaching his limits even the zombie he shot earlier is seriously wounded, his grasp is almost weak, his breathing sounds heavy and ragged and his ivory skin complexion is now mixed with cherry red tint since he uses all his physical strength, sooner some of the zombies will come near at the two survivors that it will be a game over to them and turn into a feast for these man-eating monsters.

Scarlet wants to help Russell but how would she strike the one who almost got bit her?

She is behind her best friend as she faces his back, trying to think carefully of how to survive while she firmly grasps the tanto sheath, even though they're in a pinch as Scarlet observes the surroundings since they're cornered by zombies.

Both of them are almost losing hope, and Scarlet almost opens the sheath and makes an opening attack even though she is inexperienced in combat battle not until they hear a loud BOOM sound which the zombies catch their attention and get distracted.

Another BOOM sound was heard but with a red and orange beam of light as the ground vibrated then a billow of white smoke appeared with a strong scent of gunpowder that wafted on their nose as Scarlet and Russell lost their balance and fell to the ground due to the immense explosion they felt.

As Scarlet still tactful and keen since they were still surrounded by zombies and saw that Russell fell, she never waste an opportunity as she open the sheath of tanto, with her quick reflexes to protect Russell the scarlet-haired lady slit the zombie's neck and blood splattered on her face and heard a man-eating monster groans and hisses as he is suffering the pain but she doesn't even care about it.

Scarlet instantly staved in the zombie's head first then slashed it without mercy as the brain of the zombie was sliced in half including the head and loose unconscious.

Russel's eyes widened in horror and shock as he couldn't believe Scarlet could manage to exert a brutal force. Before Scarlet asks Russel how is he feeling...

"GET DOWN AND STAY ON THE GROUND!"

She was surprised and puzzled about why but as she saw a silhouette of 3 people her intuition screaming internally that kept bugging her made the scarlet-haired maiden scared of how it happened and relieved cause there was a higher chance that they could survive in this horror tragedy in their university.

Scarlet obeys as she hears the scream and follows their orders. She ducked down while hugging Russell, and another blast BOOM sound was heard but more immense and more deafening their bodies were pulled down by the strong force of gravity coming from a bomb.

"I assume that you two are one of the survivors here, are you okay?"

She heard a voice, that sounded like a lady and she was like an angel from the heavens above that was sent here to rescue them even though her voice was a deep but still feminine sound-like voice.

She takes a look at a young beautiful lady whose head is protected by a military tactical fast helmet, her silky straight jet long black hair that reaches her waist with bangs reaching on her forehead, her V-shape face, her sharp eye shape with ocean azure orbs with a mole under her eyes, and her slim body figure like a barbie-doll that the tactical military protective suit she wears hugged her body she completely remembers this student, as she is the only woman who managed to pass the entrance exam of BS Law Enforcement major in Criminal Justice from Military Department in the whole history happens in Jadeson International University, Rosie Michaels.

"Oh, it's you Ma'am Hermosa and Sir Ollychester, glad to see you two managed to survive this tragic incident. In our department, only me and my two seniors who bombed the zombies to execute them are the only lucky ones who managed to survive."

Rosie said with a sad and broken voice, as Scarlet truly understood her since she could feel the pain and fear seeing her classmates and the students from their university are now the victims of this horror tragedy.

"Yes, it's me and Russ who did manage to survive even though we almost got killed and eaten by zombies but thanks to you, Rosie and to your seniors, without the three of you, we failed to survive. And please drop the formality, call me Scarlet."

Then Scarlet shakes Russell's body as she finds out that he passed out, which makes the young maiden surprised by his sudden faint. Scarlet placed her middle finger and index finger on Russell's neck to check his pulse, It was weak and slow, plus he looked pale and his hands were cold as the young maiden touched his hands using her right hand.

"Rosie, can you help me? Russell suffered from overfatigue and I guess he has anemia judging from his pale looks and skin complexion, he is cold but still, he has a pulse."

Scarlet asks Rosie for a helping hand as her senior keeps exploding the bomb to clear out the zombies.

"Oh sure, Ma'am Scarlet, let's evacuate for a while but to where?"

Rosie asks her even if she is willing to help, they just need to stay on guard since this horrifying tragic event is still ongoing and they need to survive.

Her intuition is screaming, as she replies and looks at the place where they have to evacuate.

"Rosie, remember that the College Department of Military and College Department of Medicine and Health Studies had a team project, right? We can evacuate there and shelter ourselves. However, we need to distract these newcomers from the swarm of zombies."

As Scarlet pointed out the additional wave of man-eating, Scarlet has a plan, since this is the only intuition messenger keeps screaming internally that she and her soul are restless.

"I have a plan, dear and I need your helping hand. Care to cooperate with me please?"

"YES, I AM MAAM! WHAT IS IT? I'LL FOLLOW YOUR COMMAND!"

Rosie said with a passion as Rosie is lowkey respecting and admiring Scarlet since she is well known as a prodigy in Medical Field Studies and Scarlet also cooperates with the military if they need a medic practitioner or paramedics.

"Call your seniors and evacuate as soon as possible. While we tear up the tank of gas fuel and make an ignition."

As Scarlet said this word, Rosie's eyes went wide. Almost against the idea but she sensed that she had a reason why as Scarlet gave her an 'I HAVE REASONS WHY' serious look she stopped.

"And why is that? Care to explain, ma'am, please?"

"We don't know if your seniors can manage to exterminate zombies and I don't of how many bombs should they explode and it'll be a game over for us Rosie and we'll turn into lifeless, brainless, and soulless man-eating monsters.

The wave of zombies keeps adding and Russell's condition is not okay. If we create an explosion from the spilling gas of tank truck. It'll wipe them out in a flash. Judging from the tank trunk says it'll explode until 50ft radius wide.

Can you tell me exact measurements of how many feet radius we need to escape before we can make an explosion?"

Scarlet asks with curiosity as she is also aware of their safeties and condition in order not to fail their meticulous plan.

Instead, Rosie answered her question, it came out from a man with a ragged and serious voice which made the scarlet-haired young maiden quite familiar with his.

"I happened to hear your conversation while we saw you as the survivors here with my junior. If we have to create the blast as a last resort, we need to evacuate as soon as possible.

If the tank explodes it'll reach a 50ft radius wide right? We need to get out of here in 5 km away, 3'o clock direction and we're safe. We can also manage to reach the evacuation security area o shelter ourselves and need to look out for survivors too"

The man still in his military tactical protective suit, but his sea green orbs are present with a scar on his left eye which Scarlet knows who's this man is.

"Greetings, Sir Gabriel. And oh, thank you for answering my questions. We need to get out of here right, but who gonna tear the gas tank?"

Scarlet asks Gabriel as she is fully aware of the surroundings.

"I'm going to tear the gas tank truck! Just leave it to me and I'll be a hero of this zombie apocalypse. Justice Jadeson is my name and I am here to the rescue in the name of love, fairness, and justice!'

Scarlet gave him a deadpan look while Rosie just mentally sweatdropped and Gabriel was almost annoyed that his veins popping on his head he pointed his rifle gun at Justice of how flamboyant this guy is.

"Shut your mouth, you punk! I will kill you by letting zombies eat you alive if you are not the son and a future president of this university!"

When Gabriel said that with an irritated voice, as he glared at him with an icy cold look, Justice suddenly shivered and whined.

"WHY ALL OF YOU ARE GIVING ME A DISSATISFACTORY LOOK???!!!!! I WILL BE A HERO WHEN THIS APOCALYPSE ENDS AND I'M SURE OF IT! JUST WAIT FOR IT! ESPECIALLY YOU, GABRIEL SILVERSTONE!"

The blonde man with curly hair, grayish eye orbs, and a baby face with a beard on his chin in a lanky figure said with excitement and positivity. Scarlet was amazed at where he got this positive energy despite they were now in a horrifying situation.

"I'll just tear and let it spill until it successfully reaches this lane. Then I just need a lighter to light a fire and it'll be a blast! My father in heaven won't be happy about this but he had no choice for us to survive."

Justice said that with seriousness and enthusiasm as he suddenly dropped his goofy antics, he took his combat knife the blade glistening and a slingshot thus placed the knife at the garter of the slingshot as he pulled it, focusing on the gas tank truck while some zombies are coming their way even they're a bit further.

He is concentrating as he finds the target of where he could aim so that the blonde lad won't mess up as he only has ONE CHANCE LEFT to shoot it.

His lips curled into a smirk as he found the perfect aim to shoot.

"Bullseye!' then without wasting his time, he gathered his force as he pulled the garter of the slingshot, positioning it 40 degrees as he released it and the combat knife flew above, with his superhuman gift he got the title of THE BEST AIMER in their college, the knife successfully hit the target and tear it open, as the tank truck has a puncture and the gas is spilling as fast as they can.

When they saw this, they completely knew that their time was ticking as they evacuated. Gabriel instantly pulls Russell and carries him while Rosie stands up, Scarlet prepares her lighter and gives it to Justice and when the first spill reaches the lane, he lit the lighter as he prepares an amber handkerchief which Scarlet gives him and burns it thus he release down and saw a flame dancing in the ground spreads as fast as it can.

As they almost left the place, Scarlet was disturbed by her inner intuition as it said "Book, Crystal stone" She suddenly restless but she saw something on the ground, a crimson-red crystal stone that reflected a glowing shine as she instantly took it but she screamed in pain as she touched it very hot however she is not giving up; she grabbed the crystal stone in a flash and hold it even she felt hot and someone pulled her and when she takes a look, its Justice

"Let's get out of here before the blast starts and you'll be emitted by a fire"

Thus he pulled her and they ran as fast they could as they took the direction that they could manage to reach the evacuation security even though they were tired and drained, they needed to survive and then a MASSIVE EXPLOSION started and they jumped as they could feel the ground is vibrating yet they landed safely and fell in the ground as they saw a white building in front of them.

"We're finally here"
