Chapter 1Earth's Resilient Son

Chapter 1: Awakening in a New World

Ken's eyes fluttered open, and he found himself lying on the rough ground. Confusion swept over him as he struggled to make sense of his surroundings. The last thing he remembered was falling asleep in his apartment after a long day at work, but this place was nothing like the bustling city he knew.

As he tried to stand up, the earth beneath him seemed to respond, molding itself to his touch. Shocked and intrigued, Ken realized that he possessed a unique connection to the element of earth. His heart pounded with excitement, yet he couldn't shake the feeling that he was no longer in his world.

Looking around, Ken spotted a group of children training nearby. Their headbands bore the emblem of the Hidden Stone Village - Iwagakure. It was then that a memory from his past life resurfaced. He had been a devoted fan of the Naruto Anime, and Iwagakure was one of the five great shinobi villages in that world.

"D-Did I really transmigrate into the Naruto Anime?" he murmured to himself, his mind racing with disbelief.

As a child who was just 5 years old, Ken grew up in a modest home within the village, raised by his loving parents. His father was a skilled blacksmith, while his mother was a wise and caring homemaker. Although life in Iwagakure was challenging, Ken's childhood was filled with warmth and laughter. He had a close-knit group of friends with whom he shared countless adventures, exploring the rocky outskirts of the village and imagining themselves as future shinobi.

In the bustling streets of Iwagakure, Ken's father, Hiroshi, is a renowned blacksmith, revered for his craftsmanship that surpasses all others. His creations are celebrated throughout the village, and the clang of his hammer echoes with pride and passion. With a gentle demeanor and skilled hands, Hiroshi instills in Ken a profound appreciation for the art of blacksmithing, passing down generations of knowledge.

In contrast, Ken's mother, Ayumi, exudes the resilience of a seasoned shinobi. Having retired as a Chunin, she carries the wisdom of battles fought and the compassion of a healer's touch. Ayumi's love for her family is boundless, and she supports Ken's shinobi journey with unyielding pride. Her stories of valor and bravery inspire Ken to strive for greatness, following in her footsteps.

At home, Ken's daily life is infused with the warmth of his parents' love. Mornings are filled with the aroma of his mother's cooking, as Ayumi prepares breakfast with care. Hiroshi imparts his wisdom over meals, sharing stories of legendary blades and the significance of forging one's destiny.

In the evenings, the family gathers around Hiroshi's workshop, witnessing the dance of fire as he molds steel into masterpieces. Ayumi retell Ken with tales of her missions, weaving a will of courage and camaraderie. Their bond as a family is unbreakable, and their support nourishes Ken's dreams.

Together, they celebrate Ken's triumphs and lend strength during his darkest moments. Hiroshi's guidance shapes him as a man, and Ayumi's teachings instill the values of humility and compassion. Ken's parents are the foundation of his strength, inspiring him to become not just a skilled shinobi but a compassionate leader, bearing the legacy of his father's craft and his mother's valor.

Ken's journey begins in the Hidden Stone Village, Iwagakure, nestled amidst rocky cliffs and mountainous terrain. The village is renowned for its strong shinobi and its mastery of earth-style jutsu. Iwagakure's inhabitants are hardy and resilient, reflecting the rugged landscape that surrounds them.

A man from an Earth gets the choice to start over in any Universe and chooses an Alternate Pokemon Universe. Let us see if his journey to the top is succesful and the impact he will have on his new world. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. I just use their sandbox for the plot of my MC and my OCs. This will be a "slow" paced story, in fact it's "super slow paced", so please don't expect the MC to directly start his journey in 20 chapters or so, actually multiply that by like 15. A lot is going to happen before that happens. The first 10-20 chapters or so are information heavy, depending on what kind of reader you are. I try to keep my chapter length between 2000 and 3000 words per chapter. My release rate is 4 chapter/week for now. I have a patre*n for those that want to support me with access to some advance chapters as a thank you. patre*n.com/Azrail93 This is an alternate pokemon universe so there will be differences to the games, manga and anime. So if something in the story is different it is most likely on purpose. The original sources are seen as suggestions not laws. Differences can be: Type variants, evolution conditions, strength mechanics, world building and more. If I am at some point asking for reader input I will do so but otherwise I will ignore most suggestions. So please don't spam things like catch this pokemon or do that next. I have my plot planned and external input will be considered when asked for. If I see a suggestion that I believe fit my plot flow I will use it and will credit the commentor. Comments on spelling and grammar mistakes are welcome. I will try to correct said mistakes with time. Constructive criticism will be read and considered. Insult and hate comments will be ignored or deleted depending on severity. Readers naturally can comment their dislike but one worders will be ignored. If the reason for the dislike is explained I will read it. Like previously mentioned pure insults and hate comments will be ignored or deleted. The same is true for simple hate reviews or insulting ones. Reviews complaining about something I warned about, such as the slow pace, will be deleted as well.
