The Empress Destiny

It was an incident fifteen years ago. A girl named Erica was having dinner alone. A TV malfunctioning only accompanied the girl for the past few days. Two years ago, ever since her parents died suddenly in a car accident, she hated houses that seemed so lonely; that's why she always left the TV on at home or even when she was sleeping. So, the thing is broken now.

However, Erica didn't want to call customer service. So, she just let it be. But for some reason, now suddenly, there was a buzzing sound, like a sound about to be turned on. Surprisingly after she heard the sound, the TV was working again.

Therefore, Erica, who was bored, sat down to watch TV without thinking. But, suddenly, the TV screen showed a random picture, then turned back to white. When she looked at the changing screen, she thought it was working correctly again. However, a bright light appeared before her, and she saw many events n the centre of the room. Devices that generally only display one image on the screen now display many different photos.

"Is this a drama? But there's no one here. So, why does the TV only show me an empty room?"

After ten minutes of continuous exposure to the same scene, Erica thought it strange. So, she started looking for the remote control and pressed it randomly because the little thing didn't seem to respond well.

"Well, this remote has to be hit again," she said.

She turned to clear the table, thinking, "I'll call the repair centre or buy a new one at the thrift store tomorrow." After that, she heard a loud bang.

"Are you dreaming of a colourful life? Do you want a new world? Call me anytime if you want to get out of your current life. My name is Made."

Surprised by the sudden cheerful voice and not knowing where it came from, Erica looked back, and now there was a cute cat on the TV screen. She thought she might hallucinate, as she was under pressure from taking on extra jobs to pay for her overdue tuition.

Now the girl shook her head to regain her focus because she thought she must be exhausted. But, just then, she heard another strange sound.

"There's nothing wrong with you. It is a golden opportunity, and you are the lucky one. If you want to escape your harsh life, you only need to call my name, 'Made'."

"Made? Am I finally going crazy? Please, my life is bad enough without friends, parents, and the burdens of life and much debt. But, I don't want to go crazy either," Erica muttered in a melancholy voice and heard the same voice again.

"Well, that sounds like a very dark life. How do you feel? Just call 'Made' once, and everything will change. I'll bet."

"Trust yourself? I don't know if this is real or a dream. What do you want me to believe?"

"You are confused, so call me by my name, and believe me, you have nothing to lose. Call it Made Made Made."

Annoyed at being interrupted, Erica finally said the name. She was upset to see a visual cat she didn't recognise talking in a friendly manner as if animals seemed to be the same as humans. Erica shouted its name like someone in a trance.

"Damn, you're so noisy, Made. Please stop! I must be dreaming right now. So, will you come out of my dream?"

"Oh, congratulations! You just took an excellent fortune."

As the cat named Made shouted in an excited voice, Erica's surroundings suddenly began to change by themselves.

"What? What is this?" Erica screamed in amazement as she stood in an empty white room and saw herself appearing on the screen in the blink of an eye.

"Welcome to the opportunity room. How do you feel? It's cool, isn't it?" said a cat proudly.

Only Erica and Made were in the small room with six visual windows. However, Made instead greeted Erica as if they were in a palace or other extraordinary place.

"Huh? What happened? Wasn't I dreaming?" Erica said that she believed that the current situation was just a dream. He was still trying to process the case with a straight face.

Made exclaimed happily, "Oh, Yes. It would be best if you wanted to wake up from your dream soon. But this isn't a dream, so don't worry. Now, it's time for you to choose to change your life. Which of the six visual windows is your favourite?"
