Pantheon of Titans
Since the beginning of time, the titans of the pantheon, also called gods, have ruled over the known worlds of the universe, and thus over us as well. For many eons, fragile peace reigned, but that changed with the Trial of Champions.
Every 10 years, champions from all worlds were chosen to compete against each other in the Pantheon of the Titans. The Pantheon, a world specially created by the titans, was set as the venue for the competitions, where homage was paid to them by the various peoples and cultures.
A winner and a loser emerged from each Trial, all others were neither lucky nor unlucky. The winner's homeworld was blessed with happiness, peace and rich harvest. The homeworld of the loser.... Was overwhelmed by plagues and disasters.
Over time, many peoples lost their homelands, because even if they withstood the natural disasters, it was difficult to raise a suitable champion under these conditions.
But in time, more and more worlds were dissatisfied with the titans reign. Some rebelled.
But how were we to know what this war would entail? Did we even have a choice? Our worlds were dying and nations were moving closer and closer.
Now, however, there is no turning back.
