When the light had died down, I slowly opened my eyes and what I saw was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen and at her feet, was the monster.

This is my first attempt at creative writing so the whole thing is kind of an experiment. If you enjoy it please let me know and I'll endeavour to keep the story going. Any suggestions would also be greatly appreciated. The story is set in a fantasy wrld with quite a dark setting. The main character is what's known as a 'hunter' or a monster hunter. In the fantasy world in which this is based, humanity whilst being the dominant species are among the weakest. It is through a much greater amount of numbers, a higher intelligence and the continued effort of a handle of extremely strong individuals that they are barely managing to stay on top of things. The main character known as 'Vaughn' is someone with a very dark past. Him and roughly 100 other individuals where subjected to something in there younger lives that twisted and mutated them into being superhuman. As a result of this Vaughn along with a fellow superhuman Katia have made it large by putting there's talents to use as 'hunters'. the reason for there success is a mixture of there's super speed/strength, cat like reflexes, imported regenerative abilities and decreased rate of aging. when the story is taking place Vaughn has already reached the age of 104 years old, however still appears to be in his early 20's. however in such a harsh and unforgiving world being superhuman still means you are human and they by no means are the biggest fish in the sea. the story is told from the perspective of an older version of Vaughn recounting the earlier days of his life when his career as a hunter started to pick up. using a mixture of mainly Vaughn's own perspective along with that off other supporting characters, he recounts his adventures, or as he prefers to call them 'repeated suicide attempts.

The boy’s laugh echoed in the alleyway for some time, and the four officers that had stopped just looked at him from a distance. One of the officers was about to say something, only to be cut off by the boy’s sudden howling. “What should I have done?!! I tried and tried but nothing worked!!...” “Ha.. haha…hahaha!!” After the boy spoke those words he went back to laughing like he was deranged. The four officers couldn’t help but feel a chill go down their spines as they looked at this little boy laughing over the dead body of a person he had just killed. The laughter that came from his lips was shrill and alarming. During his laugh, the little boy reached behind his back and pulled out another gun. The officers rush to point their gun at the boy fearing he was going to shoot at them, but the boy only aimed it at the dead man again. And just when he was about to pull the trigger, his figure suddenly vanished, leaving the gun to fall to the ground. The four officers stare with dumbfounded expressions at the spot where the boy just disappeared. “Am I seeing things or did that boy just disappear?” One officer said with skepticism. ********* Um.. yeah... couldn't come up with a good synopsis so I just use a snip bit of the first chapter, not lazy!! just thought it would make you lovely readers find the book more interesting to read. I was born in one of the African villages where school was a big problem you stay in the area of 200 to 300 population and it was so deep in the forest totally in the remote areas so finding school was very difficult and you have to wake up very early by 5:00 a.m. before you go to school you first have to go to the farmland and do some farming at 6:00 when you're done for 1 hour from the farmland you have to come again home and take the goals to eat after that you have to come home again and wash your leg from the farming after washing your legs you have to go to put on your school uniform and you start walking to school you have to work for 3 hours before reaching the school throughout the forest and the road was very narrowly and so tiny of only 50 Cent 50 cm Road not even 1 m but 50 cm Road and both sides of the road is covered by a grass so through the forest working for 3 hours before reaching the school compound and the forest of course has dangerous animals like lions snakes crocodiles so you have to work through this Forest in the middle of this dangerous wild animals for 3 hours and you reach the school almost 10:00 a.m. in the morning so the moment you reach the school you find out it's already a break time and the teacher on duty will tell you that you're late and for that reason of being late you have to carry a heavier Huntsman there are two table pants men that we always have to selection the whole grass within the school compound or you giving a hole to go and take if I'm not the school line so in that you'll be starting your punishment by 10:00 for almost two to three hours you'll find that by 12:30 you're done you only remember 30 minutes to attend class to go for lunch break so imagine attending class for only 30 minutes and it's lunch break and at the lunch break you have to start walking back home for another 3 hours through the forest early to avoid the dangerous animal in hunting you when it is too dark at night so you have to leave school immediately after lunch for you to reach home early because the sunset should not get in the middle of the forest so reaching home at around 5:00 again you need to go and bring the goats back home at the same time you need to go and fetch water from the river nearby to to help your mother from the work that she's been doing you need to go and fetch water in a distance of at least 1 hour to and from so it's a very difficult scenario after fetching water your mother is still have to send you to the trading center nearby to go and buy something for her to cook oh you have to go and look for fireworks to set fire live in Africa it's a very difficult life my memories of being a child will never get off my mind
