The Awakening of the End

We are writing the Year 2100 on Earth. The technology is very advanced. So advanced that cars could fly, humanity's average lifespan was about 160 years. Even diseases could be cured like cancer, aids, and so on but that was only available for the high society. If they cured everything how would then the big companies make a profit? It was a bad deal for them but to be one of the high society or to get regular donations from them, that's a good deal.

The difference between poor and rich was more significant than ever. The new economic sector "Gaming" was more booming than ever. The richest and the main reason for the fast advancement of the technologies is the company Startech. Startech just announced that they will be releasing a game-changer Virtual Reality Game alas VR Game in 10 years.

The VR Game "Second World" was released on 21.12.2112 and it was a big boom.

Who would to life live in the normal, boring world if they could play the Second World, where everything was possible? You could do everything in this game, you could become a mage, wizard, or cultivator. It was boundless what you could do and become.

For the fairness of the game no one could buy in-game currency, so everyone started with the same condition, but who could play all day without worrying about real life? Only the rich. The VR Game is not even cheap everyone could buy it and you would need a gaming capsule too and the gaming capsules ranged from common to deluxe, and even the common gaming capsule was expensive.

Xazce was born in the year 2100 in a city. It was this kind of city where the contrast between poor and rich was evident.

And Xazce was of course born in the poor district. His parents died when he was not even 3 years old. He has no siblings and grew up in an orphanage. Xazce was kicked out from the orphanage at 12 because he did several criminal activities like beating up younger kids to steal from them some money if they had some or clothes but the main reason was to get some food.

Now Xazce was just 12 years old and on the street, what could he do for a living but not be a criminal in a poor district?

Xacze searched for a safe spot like a hideout where he could live. He saw on the run-down streets junkies with some needles in the arm or the leg. He continued his way until he was in the scrapyard of the city. Meanwhile, it was already pretty dark outside, so he picked some cardboard and built an improvised tent.

Xazce then slept his first night in his improvised tent at the scrapyard.

He woke up pretty early in the morning. He had hunger and thirst, what could he do to satisfy his needs?

He did not have multiple choices to choose from. Just as he was thinking about what he could do, he saw black flying vans in his city district what never happened before. Before Xazce could not process what was happening. He and others on the streets were shot at with stun projectiles, by the people in the black flying vans. Their mission was to immobilize the homeless people before they kidnapped them into the black flying van.
