"Lilith Darnell, a retired top medic and all-around soldier from the South Sierran country six months ago. What do you have to say?" William Harriet said, his eyes boring a hole through Lilith's body.
The weak-willed stature of the lady was no more as she glanced back at the tall man, rendering him to think he was facing a whole other person. Her doe-like eyes were now that of a dragon's piercing eyes inclined to kill when in need; And her blushing cheeks went away as her face was as gloomy and mysterious as the night sky.
In fact, her background was several stories high compared to it which would shock the man in front but it was her deep, deep secret. Placing her hands at the back, she stood more straight and said,
"Boss Harriet, do I have to write insignificant things on my resume upon applying? I am working at a design firm, not a battlefield nor a hospital."
The man's creased eyebrows deepened more upon her explanation, slamming the table he was near at lightly.
"Still, it is a "significant" piece of information. You must have relished yourself, thinking how you made a fool of us,--" he said moving his eyes from her head to toe.
"Why act like a hunted deer when you can actually fight for yourself? Just knowing you are once a soldier will keep them at bay," he continued, massaging the sides of his head.
Despite that, she did not budge.
'Why would I? I didn't want to be a killer,' she thought.
Her archmage-level powers were enough to send their heads flying and their blood exploding.
"It's simple," she said, slowly parting her lips as she stared right into his eyes.
"Don't fight the weak."
She bowed deeply and left his office, leaving him dumbfounded at such a simple explanation.

One year later, the design firm Lilith was working at went into a paid group vacation at an exclusive beach. Her weak stature diminished since William Harriet summoned her in his office.
She became quite cold yet approachable, they thought she would not change.
But she's full of surprises.
At the serene waves of the sea, there, they saw her crying her heart out, looking from afar they could not see who, nor what she was looking at.
But it was full of longing.
Someone was definitely jealous.
