The Alpha On Campus

Everyone has that one person who makes them uncomfortable. That guy when he walks in a room you can feel the energy shift. A constant string of different girls under his arm, never really caring about much of anyone but himself. Two years I spent avoiding him, making sure he never knew I even existed. Even though we’re apart of the pack, a few families like mine weren’t able to talk to our wolves. Not ranking in a society built on levels can really take it out of you, so being in the same room as them is nevertheless difficult.. Who knew that all of that avoiding would eventually bring me here to this moment. Striding towards me was that same guy, dripping blood on the floor as he walked. "Mate.." he said sliding out the chair on the other side of the table plopping down into it. His face had splattered blood all across it, causing his piercing emerald eyes to shine bright against the red. I wanted to run.

Come together

~Finn's POV~

By the time we had arrived at the pack house people were already in action. The beta and omegas had doubled the patrols and sent others off into the human's territory that was towards the back of Et Lupum. I threw the car in park and strode up the stairs straight to the main conference room. I could hear Val and Dustin tailing behind me and Ash trying his best to comfort the girls. I could care less what the human girls thought at this point, even if one of them would join our pack one day.

I threw open the conference room doors and went straight over to the main table which had a map of the surrounding area. The omegas stared silently at it almost as if the map would give us an answer itself.

"We have set up all precautionary protocols and are still waiting for an update from the search parties." Will said coming up to me and staring down at the map as well.

I raked my fingers through my hair as the visiting alphas entered the hall. They all wore grave faces, each looking his own way of fierce. Even Zane had a look on his face that would scare any one who was not themselves an alpha.

"They took your mate from a wolf owned place?" Julian said shaking his head. "That is almost unheard of."

"How bold." Issac said his eyes growing even darker than usual.

"I know, they seem to slip through our senses undetected every time. My.. My mate, she had found some odd packets before on the edges of the lands that allowed the rouges to sneak in un-noticed." I said drawing a line with my finger on the trees they were attached to.

"Just like the same thing that had happened to the southern pack a few years ago." Issac said scowling. "It seems the witch has returned. Its good you called us but dangerous for us to all be away from our packs right now." he said turning away and pulling out his phone. Each of the others following suit to check up on their packs.

I growled at the thought of Daliah being out there alone with those foul beings. Rainer whined in my head, he still hasn't felt Fallon since the club. My mind raced at the different faces I had seen over the past few hours, none of them gave off rouge energy nor smell. Angrily I turned to Dustin and Val who both wore the same gave face.

"Gather everyone who came out with us and meet me in the small conference room, someone had to have noticed something." I said and they both moved eagerly, I turned to Will who was awaiting his orders. "Update me once the search teams get back, have the omegas search for any large buildings that could hold someone." he nodded and turned to his task.

Storming out of the door I strode over to the small conference room. On the far side of the room Ash stood protectively by his mate and her friend. They both looked like they thought they were caught in a fever dream. Next to them sat Val and Dustin, Val's eyes just slightly glazed over. She was most likely trying to link with Daliah. The only person missing was Emma, she must have been taken with her. I tried to reach out to her but it was in vain.

"I can't reach her." Val said as she fought her tears.

"Did any of you notice something was off with anyone tonight? Has any one seen Emma?" I asked trying my best not to sound weak. Collectively they shook their heads no, Rainer growled at their responds.

"Something is wrong." Rainer said sounding confused.

"What is off?" I asked just as confused.

"I don't know just yet, but I can just tell." he said before retreating back.

I looked at their faces once again and sighed. There wasn't much we could do until the scouts reported back. Pulling out one of the chairs I slumped down into it feeling almost defeated. Images of Daliah laughing, smiling, and even the serious face she makes when she is angry just kept flashing before my eyes. What if I really lost her so soon after finally getting her.

We sat there in silence for what felt like ages before one of the betas came to let me know we may have a lead but when we further investigated, it turned out to be a dead end. The worst part is it had been hours since the incident occurred and neither search team had sent an update yet. At this point we had to assume that they too had fallen victim to the rouges or even worse the hunters. A small knock came from the door, it showed on of the betas looking extremely shocked.

"A..Alpha there is a.. a package that is addressed to you." the fear rolled off of him in waves making me nervous.

"Where is it?" I said as the panic rose inside of me.

"Its in the main conference room.." his solemn voice said as he quickly retreated.

Everyone's eyes watched me as the panic from the other wolf slowly seeped into my own emotions. I half ran to the main conference room but was still trying to maintain my composure. The room was silent as I entered, all of the attention focused on a small box that sat upon the map.

"What is this?" I said as I went to go pick it up.

"Stop!" my mom cried before I could get to it.

"What is it?'" eyeing the box I could not see anything wrong with it, but then again those from the her pack had always been blessed with more than regular wolfs.

"It's cursed, if you touch it.. you will get sick." she walked over and waved her hand slightly above the box and uttered a few words in the ancient language she used every once in a while. "There, you should be able to open it now." she said as she backed away.

Slowly I opened the lid to reveal a small locket of hair with a note. The smell of Daliah wafted out of it and my composure fell. Grabbing the note I read it aloud.

"For many years I have waited and cultivated my strength to destroy you dogs. Now that I have the child of my once beloved I will be sending her back to you one piece at a time." I could feel the mal intent wafting off of the letter itself.

I turned to look back at my mom but when I did she was already being held by Will, keeping her head from the ground.

"What just happened?" I yelled in my alpha tone.

"She just fainted alpha, I barely caught her in time." Will said with his worry written all over his face. She began to shake faster and faster until she stopped.

"What are you waiting for call the pack doctor!" my resolve was completely gone and my voice came out almost child like.

"That is not necessary, it has just been a while since I used magic.. Also I have never been called to the goddesses domain." she looked wary but a small smile creeped on her lips.

"What is it?" I said dropping to my knees and holding her hand.

"Fallon, she said they are alright. They are being held somewhere that reeks of rouges and silver but they are not physically hurt." she smiled cupping my cheek "Dali is strong Finn, she is working on trying to figure out how to escape as we speak."

My heart fell into my stomach, she was alive. She was still sending signals back home!

"She did however have a warning, the witch plans to attack the pack the moment we make a move. Fallon did not give much more information besides this." she bowed her head and slowly got up. "I am going to go lay down, if they reach out again I will be back."

I just sat there on my knees not knowing what to do, if my dad was here he would have known the exact next step to take. My panic and unsureness were evident to everyone in the room.

"I have called and set in motion plans to protect my pack but also am having some of my warriors be dispatched here." Issac said walking back into the room and offering me his hand. I took it and he pulled me up, giving me a knowing look.

"Same for us, our safe house has enough room to move quite a few of the older and young to. We would just need the cars from you to get them out." Zane said looking fierce.

"We should be able to house the rest, we have a safe house that is not being used and the rest of my pack will be at our other one, please let me know if you guys need additional housing." Julian said as he finished his last call.

"The last questions is how are they keeping tabs on us." Issac said looking over our map.

"There must be patrols that they have on us, if we send a few decoy cars we should be able to shake them off of the ones that have our people. The rest should be able to be housed in our safe house." I said pointing to the small road we used to go into the small human town.

Slowly we got everything together to protect our weak, and protect those who may have to fight. Although most of the training was short our pack knew enough to protect us. I linked Dustin letting him know the plan and he set out to help with the moving of the people, and directing those who cant be moved too far to a more secure location.

"She has come for us once before and I did not offer my help. I will not let this be another situation where we could have been there to stop a massacre." Issac said seeing through my tough façade.

"Thank you." was all I could muster as a response.

"You know I lost my mate, it was during a battle against another pack, she died protecting those who she loved. Your mate is still alive, lets go and get her." he said with compassion and force.

I nodded, feeling his strength giving me the hope I needed to move forward.
