Frisky Fish Taco

Sans was fast asleep. At this point, all the sleepless nights he had over the week dog piled him. Papyrus looked to Frisk who complemented Sans on being 'cute'. He shifted his eyes back and forth from the child and Sans feeling a bit awkward. Not sure on how to reply. Of course, he always thought his older brother was not bad looking, but anything past that, he really couldn't put a label on him. This was also his first time hearing anyone even call his brother cute...did the human fancy Sans? Papyrus blushed a bit in his cheeks as he answered with only a nervous smile. "Y-yes! I suppose he is. But I agree, let's keep him resting for a little longer. He's been a bit..on edge with less sleep after all." the taller skeleton replied. He then watched as the human slid off the bed and made their way over to Sans' closet. Well, this was no time for dress-up. Whatever the human was digging for, Papyrus would take it upon himself to lift his brother off the ground and laying him in the bed. Tucking him under the covers after taking his hoodie off.

"Wowie...He's really asleep..." seeming a bit concerned as to how deep of a sleep Sans was in. He usually wouldn't be able to pick him up without having to wake him up. Since he's fallen asleep a few times during their watch duties a few days ago.

After he was done tucking Sans in, he turned to the human who made a 'meow' sound. Pretty much calling for Papyrus' attention as he gasped in awe at the child's new wardrobe. Of course Papyrus loved it. It was rather cute on the child. Chara on the other hand appeared right beside Frisk. "What do you think you're doing?" the fallen child asked. Of course, they were not pleased with this new get-up Frisk was putting on.

Papyrus ad Chara both listened to Frisk' idea out loud. Of course, Chara would love to see the fish lady's reaction to a human. But Papyrus, his jaw dropped, filled with horror as he quickly denied this idea. "NONONO!" the taller skeleton hollered. "Undyne's not all that easy to 'be friends' with, Frisk! She's the leader of the royal guards! Her way of befriending is quite.....intense..." A bead of sweat trailed along his head. Remembering when he first met undyne.

Undyne was favored by King Asgore during his earlier ruthless days. Trained by the male goat himself; endless days and nights. Papyrus was actually quite young at the time him and his brother were homeless. Luckily finding shelter at Grilby's he learned about the royal guards. Undyne was the same age as Papyrus when he first met her. She was just stopping by for a quick meal before heading to the kingdom. In his many attempts to befriend the fish child, he failed. She was very anti-social with people, Straight forward, and aggressive....very aggressive. It was the fish child's routine everyday t stop by Grilby's before heading to the castle for training. Finally, after Papyrus pursued her over twenty times in a month, she finally gave in. However, that was only a warm-up, he got her attention, but she wouldn't befriend the skeleton just yet. She stated he would fight her, and if he could pull one hit on Undyne, she would be his friend...

After three months of trying, he finally landed a hit on the girl. She found him worthy of being her friend. Of course, this was after so many broken bones and bruises over the past few weeks. This also built Papyrus' self confidence and to practice his movement speed. It may have seemed rather intense, but he earned something worthy of the time.

After thinking of the past, he had to reconsider Frisk' determination in wanting to befriend Undyne. It would be hypocritical of him to stop the child form trying. "On second thought..Sure. J-Just be careful, okay?" After all, that was Undyne's teenage years. She probably matured a lot since then.

Papyrus moved out of the human's way as they mad a cat sound. Of course, Papyrus slapped his face so hard, he could have sworn he heard his teeth chatter. Undyne raised a brow and turned to the Flower. Flowey reacted to slow only to look up at Undyne with a shocked face.

"Was that y--"

"N-no!? I thought it was you!"

"Why would I meow?!"

"Maybe to break the awkward silence?! I dont know! Papyrus, where the hell are you?!"

"You know what, I will just go check up on him. Besides, I think he ran to Sans' room.." she said as she peaked up only to see the bedroom he ran into was next to the bathroom door. The Fish was walking up the stair case, but before she could even see the human, Papyrus quickly reached out and pulled the child's cat tail as they would come swooping right back into Sans' bedroom. The door would close right after the child was safely inside.

"On second thought! Let me just make sure she's okay and ready first?" Papyrus looked to the child with a nervous smile. Hoping to take the lead before the human would recklessly introduce them self to Undyne. Second before stating that, a knock at the door could be heard.

"You okay in there, Papyrus?"

"Y-yes! I'm just making up Sans' bed...a-and picking up his socks!" Papyrus then looked to the human with pleading eyes. He wanted to make sure things would go a little smoothly with him introducing the child to Undyne. LAst time they surprised Undyne...she ended up throwing the couch out the window. Such a horrifying memory. The look on Sans face when it occurred. Who KNOWS what she'd do in this case.

It seemed that Papyrus was taken by the humans display of cuteness with the whole cat-like acting. Though as soon as he couldn't make up his mind, the human found that the Papyrus was not an idiot, but just indecisive and kept in the dark about a lot of things. That and he was rather naive about nearly anything and everyone. While having faith in someone that they won't... kill them that... The human's thoughts rolled down their back as they glanced away from Papyrus as soon as they moved them away from the door. They assumed it would be for the best, considering what they had done was just plain out reckless. The human then glanced towards Sans as he was laying on the bed and flushed a light red color.

The human completely dismissed the pleading eyes of Papyrus as they were completely attentive to the appealing scene of Sans sleeping on the bed. Their body rocking slightly side to side so the tail part of their hoody was moving a bit as if it was swishing side to side oh so very cat like.

Considering Papyrus had just tried covering for the human and Sans now, to reveal themselves would make problems for the skeleton. That isn't something the human wants to do. They also seemed to much entranced by their own cat-like performance to even really have cared for the fallen child which didn't seem all too pleased with what they were doing. Not like the human would really care what Chara thought on the subject.

The human would then proceed to crawl up onto the side of the bed and sit on their knees watching the Skeleton sleep before glancing over at their shoulder toward Papyrus as they pulled a sock out from underneath Sanses pillow and held it up. While with the other hand held their nose shut as they waved it around a bit.

That was when their phone rang again, this time with the Queen's theme song, so it wasn't on vibrate, the human immediately dropped the sock and flailed a bit trying to find their phone in their pocket before falling off the bed with a light thud.

The phone would have accepted the incoming call from its only contact on accident, "Hello My Child. . . . Hello? Young one, are you there? Are you alright? I know you told me to wait –" Toriel spoke from the phone as the human would quickly gather it into their hands and crawl under the bed rather quickly in-case Undyne came into the room. The human then hung up the phone after whispering something inaudible into the phone.

Papyrus exhaled a rather shaky but relieving breath of air to the child's cooperation. Just as Papyrus grabbed the door knob, the alarm on the child's phone rung. He quickly turned to the child who was now fidgeting about trying to rush for their phone. Papyrus frailed his hands around in hopes for the child to turn it off or answer it quietly. But the phone's ringtone reached the fish's ears as she grabbed the door knob and turned.

"Hey what the hell is going on--" just as she walked in the child was nowhere in sight, but Sans was on the bed sleeping. "Wha?! I thought you said he was walking the dog!?" Papyrus had his back turned to Undyne. Quickly he turned to greet her.

"Undyne! Shhh- shhh...He was actually here this whole time!" he quickly covered his own tail. "Uhm...You see, he was actually exhausted..He had a long day and I just didnt want you nor myself to bother him. And I...I made a new friend..."

Undyne sighed, "Well why didnt you say that at first?" she asked. Of course, her question followed with an arch brow, "And a 'new' friend?" She ask. Her eyes narrowing at the skeleton. There was definitely an elephant in the room. Papyrus could feel the weight of honesty weighing him down as tried to utter the truth.

"You see-- uh..I wasn't entirely honest with you from before. We don't have a dog...Sans and Me, we found a human near the entrance of Snowdin-- BUT!" Undyne was about to yell, but she halted herself at the 'but' papyrus made. "Please trust me Undyne. You know I'm not the type to lie and disrespect you. I admire you far too much for you to hate me...I just, I just didnt want you to take the human too soon is all. We were having a fun time.."

Undyne's eyes shifted away. Of course she could never hate Papryus, but she didnt like the fact that he did lie to her. However, she would easily forgive him; because he told her the truth before she could find out for herself. "Ehh...I guess I can give it a try?" the fish lady stated unexpectedly. Was this real? Papyrus eyes lit up with glee as he clapped his hands together before hugging Undyne. "You mean it!? Like, you'll give the human a chance?!"

"I mean, I wont say that we'll be the best of friends.."

"Well of course not! The Human is already MY best friend." Papyrus unraveled from the hug and smiled. Undyne had a twitched nerve.

"...Excuse me?? What are you trying to imply?" Papyrus of course was standing his ground as he replied.

"I already established it after I fed the child who enjoyed my meal of Spaghetti. They officially became MY best frie--" Papyrus was interrupted by the Fish as she quickly objected.

"So what are you saying?! I cant be the human's BEST friend? Are you implying I'm not best friend material?!" Undyne's voice raised. Leaving the taller skeleton to ponder on why she was getting rallied.

" N-no! I'm just saying that--"

"Well you know what!? I CAN be the humans BEST friend. And you know what else?! I can feed it MUCH better food too!" Now that's where Papyrus had to jump in,

"Now hold on just a minute! You can cook better than me!"

"Oh yeah!? TRY ME!"

Undyne pushed past Papyrus to entered the room and quickly marched to the closet. Searching within it in search for the Human.

"WHERE IS IT? Where's the HUMAN?" she ordered. Of course, she looked to Papyrus who nervously looked away and then she looked to the only place the human could possibly be hiding; the bed! She quickly summoned a spear and yelled her warrior cry. "AHHHHHHH- HUMAN!" She quickly chucked her Spear at the bed where Sans Laid.

"UNDYNE!" Papyrus yelled and in an instantly, Sans woke up to a Spear coming at him. He quickly awoke and dodged the spear as it pierced through the bed and in between his spread out legs.

"What the--!?" Sans scattered and tossed himself off the bed with a quick teleport right next to Papyrus. He then looked all over the room losing sight of the human. Papyrus quickly covered their mouth and ducked down to the ground in hopes to see if the human was okay.
