Prologue

After mother left me in the woods I felt alone and saddened that she never wanted me.I walked around calling for her,saying I'd do anything to have my mother back.After Father died she never ate,never slept,and would always howl with pain.Like a part of her was gone into the abyss.I croaked,"Mother!Please come back!What did I do to deserve this!"At the sound of a wolfs howl I stopped.Looking around worried I hurried and climbed up a tall tree and hid on a wide branch as I heard footsteps coming towards me.A handsome young man who looked to be around 17 walked through the bush.He wore a plaid shirt with a black tee underneath and some worn out torn jeans.His blond hair pushed to the side of his face with his electric green eyes scanning the area.I looked at him amazed and forgot of how I ended up here.At last he looked up at me and frowned.He said in a low,husky voice,"Get down and come here girl." Following his orders I jumped down landing on my feet nervously.I looked at my feet as he looked me over.You could see the wheels spinning in his head on what to do.He asked,"What's your name girl." I looked up scared for a second and said,"My name is Evelyn but people call me Eve..."I looked back down as I spoke.I thought,how could someone so handsome be so cool hearted?He looks sweet,but he is actually terrifying.He started speaking as I kept to my thoughts and suddenly he stopped at the sound of another howl.As this howl rang out my head started spinning and there was a ringing sound in my head.I clutched my head in pain and fell to the ground.As I fell into darkness I heard a word spoken by the boy."Mate..."
