This will have grave consequences

Arjuna looked at the misty fog that rolled around both him and his two companions. He looked at them slightly hopeful

"so, any idea where we are going?"

Alanis and Rei both looked at him with confusion.

"I thought you were leading us"

Alanis said

Rei nodded agreeing with Alanis.

Arjuna grimaced and looked around. They were currently underneath a large tree in the middle of the forest, with the darkness just settling in. Trees surrounded them, and the darkness made it so that you could barely see into the forest. Currently, the three of them had no source of light though with Alanis's spirit eyes she could see perfectly fine in the dark while Arjuna's eagle eyes skill could pierce through easily.

Rei was the only one who was left looking around in what seemed to be pitch black darkness with confusion. She flailed her arms around trying to find the figure of Arjuna which constantly seemed to evade her.

Rei raised her staff about to create a source of light. But Alanis's hand quickly caught it and quickly lowered it. She quietly whispered to Rei

"don't make light yet, we don't want to attract the necromancer"

Alanis paused and thought for a moment.

"Wait, actually we do want to attract him"

They both looked towards Arjuna who was already chugging down various potions that he had made. He looked at them both with a grin as he pulled out a black round object that Jason had once used on a very unfortunate ripper gang member.

Rei and Alanis both realized what the black object was as Arjuna lit the fuse of the object with a small lighter.

He tossed the bomb high up in the sky and watched as an explosion shook the earth as a cloud of fire appeared in the air the sudden light almost blinding the three of them.

In the quiet forest, growls of anger responded to the loud explosion. And soon the once quiet forest seemed to erupt in activity and the sound of movement.

Arjuna laughed a bit

"well, I guess we don't have to go anywhere"

Saying that he scrambled up a tree helping Rei climb up.

Alanis rolled her eyes and followed Arjuna up the tree, there they readied their bows and notched their arrows as Rei held up her wand and prepared to chant.

And so they waited as the forest seemed to come alive around them. The growls got closer and closer sounding more like pained angry moans than growls. Soon the crunch of footsteps on the leaves got closer and closer to them, the place where the explosion was.

Rei couldn't help but slowly peek out from underneath the covering of leaves. A small yelp almost escaped from her mouth before Arjuna's hand swiftly covered it.

A large group of undead slowly moved towards them, it consisted of skeletons all walking towards them like tired soulless creatures. They had a few spare rags covering their skeletal frames and hollow eyes that looked around hunting for the smell of life in the air.

Some had swords and bits of rusty amour on their bodies. They all wandered around clattering as their bones collided.

Arjuna peeked out slightly quickly counting the number of skeletons

"around 30" he whispered back to Alanis.

Alanis nodded and raised her bow

"We can take them" she whispered to him

Arjuna shook his head

"I have a better idea," he said with a grin pulling out another bomb.

Alanis hissed towards Arjuna angrily

"no! do you want to start a forest fire?"

Before Arjuna could answer, all of the skeletons in the vicinity turned their skulls towards Alanis. Their dead empty eye sockets staring at the tree where Arjuna, Alanis, and Rei hid in.

Alanis could be heard letting out an annoyed

"tch" before leaping out of the tree with a strong jump.

All of the skeletons instantly looked at the figure that seemed to leap into the sky. Her golden hair reflected the pale moonlight and the 2 arrows on her bow reflected the starlight.

A satisfying twang could be heard as two arrows quickly drilled into the skulls of two skeletons making them crash to the floor.

Alanis still in the air slowly falling towards the ground where all of the skeletons were closed her eyes and started to quickly chant.

Arjuna saw Alanis leap out after seeing that they were discovered and he only had enough time to let out a sigh before raising his bow to the sky and letting out a single black arrow into the sky before grabbing Rei by the waist and leaping into another tree.

Alanis slowly fell towards the ground she put her bow back onto her back and reached for her belt where two dagger hilts met her hand.

Her right leg seemed to get infused with mana glowing a light green as a gust of wind started to surround it.

With a fast landing, Alanis landed on top of a single skeleton crushing its skull into dust. In a split second, she whirled around spinning in a roundhouse kick, the gust of wind on her leg blew out in a fan shape blasting all of the skeletons in front of her away to crash into each other.

Sadly the group of skeletons that Alanis had caught with her spell wasn't defeated. The group of 14 or so skeletons struggled to untangle themselves from the pile. Grasping towards Alanis as she dodged the skeletons behind her to either slashed at her with their rusty weapons or attempted to grab her.

But for that pile of skeletons, there would be no chance to get their hands on life.

From the sky, a rain of black arrows flew down, precisely where Alanis had kicked the 14 or so skeletons into. The black arrows drilled into the skeletons leaving none of the ones in the pile moving.

Alanis smiled a bit as she pushed off against the ground to move to where the remains of the skeletons slowly dissipated into black mist.

The two daggers in her hands gleamed as she backed up.

A fireball flew out of one of the trees hitting some of the skeletons making them slowly burn up collapsing on the ground.

Alanis regained her breath and charged towards the remaining group of skeletons now considerably weakened only about 10 or so were left.

Usually having an Archer rush towards a group of skeletons would be the stupidest move a person could make. But Alanis wasn't worried.

She set her eyes on one of the skeletons at the very front leaping towards it with one dagger pointed towards it. She dodged its outstretched arms stabbing its skull. The moment the dagger fell into its skull it slowly collapsed as if a puppet had its strings cut.

Alanis swept her surroundings with her other dagger. But her range of motion couldn't cover all parts, more specifically her back.

Two skeletons reached towards her from her back. Their arms clacking together as they got closer to her defenseless back.

And then the twang of a bow could be heard. A single black arrow drilled through both of their skulls making the two skeletons collapse instantly.

Another twang sounded as Alanis swept down and kicked the feet of multiple skeletons. The black arrows blew past where her head was a few seconds before, embedding itself into a skeleton right in front of Alanis as she stabbed the skeletons on the ground.

With a loud yell, Alanis punched another skeleton as it swung its sword towards her. Another arrow flew deflecting off of the skeleton's sword forcing the skeleton's weapon from moving and further.

Alanis finished the punch smashing through the ribs of the skeleton, making it collapse.

She whirled around looking at the last 3 skeletons who were still slowly walking towards her like aimless zombies.

A mana arrow arose blasting into the ribs of one of the skeletons. While another black arrow knocked down one.

Alanis let out a sigh and turned around and walked away leaving the last skeleton still walking towards her.

Arjuna landed on top of the skeleton crushing its skull in. He still was carrying Rei by the waist so he gently let out stand on top of the forest floor. She tried to regain her bearings as the surroundings seemed to whirl around her from Arjuna's quick movements.

Arjuna walked towards Alanis and quickly asked.

"you know where they came from?"

Alanis nodded and pointed in front of her.

"I heard them coming from that direction"

Arjuna looked to see a part of the forest where the white fog seemed to envelop the entire part. He couldn't even see what was in the fog beside the occasional faint outline of a few trees.

"interesting" he muttered to himself, then looking at Alanis and Rei

"again?" he asked with a grin looking at the notifications he got
