Shin Megami Tensei: Advent of the Goddess

"Rise up, my chosen!"

A domineering voice, with a strange and androgynous tone that correlated with neither of the genders, screamed directly into his head.

"Fate… and the will of all life, the choice is now yours to make!"

Writhing on the ashen floor clutching his head, his skin was caked and stained white; leaving him as pale as snow and cinders, over his entire body.

"Deceit, Apathy, Domination, War, Genocide, Hate, and Fear! All of you, awaken, and cast forth your judgement!"

The pain the voice inflicted on him, had reverberating in his head like an echo in a deep cavern.

His mouth was agape and his nose scrunched in an expression of agony, his fingers dug into his palm, in an attempt to lessen the suffering.

However hard he tried to, though, he couldn't scream out, asking the voice to stop.

Nor could he make any noise.

As he writhed and struggled, he heard the voice's final message to him.

"Find your answer, with the power I have ingrained into your souls!"

Not long after the final message, he was free of the pain.

It took him a few moments to regain his self, before he pulled away from the ash-covered floor.

Standing upright, he looked around the dark room he found himself in, confused as to where he was.
