She sold herself short

The rain pours down as if the heavens above is hurting from the cruel deeds of the people below it. It pours down drenching the civilians who did not carry their umbrella's ; some hide away under a tree or shelter while the younger couples bathe in the cold raindrops . Their love filled and childish giggles are drowned by the steam train that goes by – cutting it's way past the city , dividing the country side to that of the city. It is the year 1950 – the air is free from chemicals and pollution. The streets were said to be safe from crime , and maybe it was.

However , mothers still feared for the safety of their children's lives. They still tried to stop their children from coming back home at late hours of the night – they tried to protect their children from the unknown part of the streets. No body knew what had occurred in the crime world , no one knew the dangers that were lurking in dark allies or just outside of arcades – podophiles , rapists and kidnappers were rare which made it most frightening. The mothers feared that their children were not aware enough of the dangers until it was to late.

As if the world was not already dangerous , word has been spread around by the housewives that creatures – mythical creatures – exist. Obviously , men and husbands disregarded these tall tales gossiped around but events that began to occur during the night that had them questioning if it were indeed true. Horses , livestock and even little children have been found mauled and half devoured near the forest borders.

Many had thought that this incidents were caused by wild dogs ; however , many were convinced that werewolves were indeed real and created a home for itself in the city new Orleans. No clues had been found that linked to this assumption , but the claw marks , fur and canine tooth that were left behind by the last body found made many civilians wonder if evil demonic wolves exist and live amongst us.

The little boy's attention is pulled away from the crumpled up newspaper that lays tightly gripped between his tiny little fingers. The small tinkles of the cable bus bell rings , which lets him know that he needs to get off at this stop to get to his home. He places the newspaper he had found on the seat next to him , before standing up. Other passengers are also exiting the cable bus , so it takes a while for him to get to the front. However , before he leaves he waves to the driver.

"Goodbye , Uncle joey" his high pitch voice is heard by the driver. They look at each other like the best of friends.

"Bye son – Tell your father I will be coming home for dinner this Saturday. I love me some of your mom's cooking ; my sister always did know how to make a good meal" Uncle joey's mouth begins to drool when thinking of his sisters cooking. The little boy giggles at his favorite uncle. A huge jacket is thrown his way , almost making the small lad tumble backwards but luckily he did not.

"Wear this and run home – your parents will kick my ass if they find out I let you walk in this here weather without a covering" His voice comes out as strict but also shows how much he cares for his nephew. The boy struggles to put the jacket on , and when he finally did it makes Uncle joey erupt in laughter. His nephew is 13 years old , however he never quite hit puberty yet which makes him the weakest , the shortest , and the most babiest youngster in his grade or neighborhood. The jacket buries the little boy , drowning him in fabric – though he looks so damn adorable. He waves at his uncle a goodbye once again , but it turns out to be a flap due to the sleeves being huge for him.

Carefully , while holding the railing he steps down the steps one by one. When he is finally off the cable bus , the door shuts and a small hoot is given to signal a goodbye to him from his uncle. The rain does not beat down as heavily as it was , but it drizzles mist like droplets which makes the little boy giggle as it amuses him. He begins to hop into puddles while traveling home – he enjoys himself in these few moments of child like bliss , not knowing that some thing has it's eyes locked on him.

It lurks in the shadows as it watches an innocent lamb hop from wet puddle to the next . It can almost feel how tender his skin would feel on it's tongue. It can almost hear the screaming the little boy as it devours it's prey – however , some part of it wishes it never have to take away such an innocent soul. It's claws lightly scrape against the concrete floor , readying itself to pounce.

Unfortunately , to its dismay a gunshot startles it and the little boy. The boy's hand drops from the front door knob , as he sees the horror that had been in front of him. A beautiful middle aged couple – his parents – lay paralyzed on the sitting room floor. Blood pulses out of hollow circle on their foreheads. Two men dressed in black stand above their now dead bodies with guns still pointed at them. On their faces were two sadistic smiles – the little boy was shocked at the horror his eyes had seen. Trails of tears began to form on his face and he ran – he did not care that those men were still there , all that he cared was that his parents lay lifeless on the ground.

"Mama?!! Papa?!!" he screams and runs to them. The two murders show no remorse for the little boy who cries for his dead parents , instead in their eyes they see another target that they must destroy. They both look at each other and nod – silently agreeing to kill the boy as well. They slowly aim their guns to the little boy who is latching on to his dead mother.

A humongous dog like creature crashes through the house window.
