Chapter 09: Japan!

...

*A week passed by…*

Morgan and his family had already prepared everything and before they were aware, it was already the fateful day to depart and leave for Japan.

They went to the Airport incredibly early in the morning to wait for their flight.

Negi was like an excited little Pikachu being extremely energetic.

"Big bro? Why do you always wear your hood?"

"Huh? It's because I look super cool with it…" Morgan made something up as he held Negi in his arms.

"Oh… I want a hood too!" Negi shouted eagerly.

"Hey hey, don't shout like that, it's impolite." Morgan's mouth twitched as he looked at this little bro of his.

The truth was that, every time he would pull his hood down, a lot of people would stare at him and God only knew how much he didn't like to be stared at.

The little Morgan effectively grew up into a very handsome young man.

After a while, they eventually embarked on the Airplane after hours of waiting.

And after that came travel's time...

But even though it was long, it was Morgan and Negi's first time taking a plane and so the excitement was as high as it could get, resulting in them not even see the time passing by.

And as if to help Morgan, the system was even giving some quest like.

[Quick quest: Make Negi laugh! Reward:350 XP]

[Quick quest: Reassure Mom that the plane won't fall! Reward:350 XP]

[Quick quest: Stop the female flight attendant from hitting on Dad! Reward:350 XP]

...

And so after an eternity of waiting and doing quick quests…

*Japan, Airport of Mustafa.* (A/N: I'm not sure if this airport exists but do tell me if you do know thanks…)

"Whoa, people are speaking so weird…" Negi who was in Morgan's arms exclaimed as he looked all around him, seeing a lot of strangers speaking a lot of different words.

"Haha, of course, you don't know how to speak Japanese yet…" Morgan rubbed his head and explained.

Thanks to Kaede who was Japanese, to begin with, and taught him Japanese since his most tender age, Morgan was able to converse in those two different languages with no difficulty at all. She taught him in the hope to eventually come back in the future...

"Hey you two, come here, the attendant is waiting for us," Adam said and pulled Morgan and Negi to his sides.

"...?" As Morgan looked ahead, he saw a rather young woman in a maid-like suit looking very elegant and gentle standing next to a very luxurious car as she held a board on which the words for "Yaoyorozu" were inscribed.

"Yaoyorozu? Is that Mom's name?" Morgan asked curiously. He had never questioned his mom before since the subject was a sensitive one.

Kaede heard and looked at the name Yaoyorozu as her face turned unsightly…

"There there dear, we're together, and nothing will change…" Adam came to her and wrapped one arm around her waist.

"..." Morgan gave a glance at his mom and then the maid.

But, as they approached the woman, Kaede's eyes slowly widened up as she exclaimed.

"You… Are you… Yuzuri-chan?!" She asked the attendant with surprise, shock, and happiness.

"...You- you still remember me, Lady Kaede?" The woman asked, equally shocked and happy.

"What is this lady thing for, just call me Kaede, alright?" Kaede jumped and shook this Yuzuri girl.

"Uh, ye- yes of course…" The girl nodded and then guided the family of four to the limousine car.

The family sat in the back of the car while Yuzuri sat in front of them. Sure enough, this Yuzuri was a childhood friend of Kaede and was also a maid of the Yaoyorozu's family.

"So, does Dad want to see us today or…?"

"Ahem, Miss Kaede, the head asked to first take you and your family to your residence and let you rest for today… If you can he would like for your family to visit us..."

"Hmmm… since when was he so nice…?" Kaede narrowed her eyes and asked distrustfully.

"Uh…" Yuzuri didn't know what to say back.

"My my don't be like that Kaede…" Adam laughed wryly and caught Kaede's hand to soothe her.

"Hmm…" Kaede reflects on it quietly...

Meanwhile, Yuzuri's eyes then wandered toward the two children, noticing that the older still hadn't taken his hood off and was just looking out of the window, pointing at the different infrastructures out there while replying to all his brother's questions.

Looking at him, he was like isolated from the world… if it wasn't because of his agitated little brother in his arms, she perhaps wouldn't notice him at all.

And although it was a bit weird that he was keeping his hood, she just told herself that he maybe had some features that he wanted to conceal. This idea was reinforced by the fact that both Kaede and Adam didn't say anything at all to that and let it be. It was still strange since society was now more open-minded nowadays.

"...?" Meanwhile, Morgan who was explaining things to Negi notices the gaze as he glances in her direction.

Yuzuki's expression turned into surprise when she took a clear look at his deep red eyes.

She didn't get to see his face in a whole yet but she was now certain that her mistress's elder son was a very handsome young man.

However, the latter seemed to be a little anti-social as he just glanced at her with his reddish blinking eyes and then glanced back outside.

The maid's face twitched a bit but didn't say anything in the end.

As for his hood, Morgan just totally forgot to pull it down.

They soon reached their new residence as they took their luggage out.

"Wow… well I've got to say that your father knows how to apologize…" Adam exclaimed bluntly.

"Well it's true, but isn't that a bit too big for the four of us?" At the sight of the house, Kaede asked Adam curiously.

The house was a two-story traditional Japanese house and was truly more elegant than their last house, although this one was still missing this familial feeling for now.

Morgan too was amazed at the house, and couldn't help but wonder about this grandfather.

"Anyway, Morgan, come let's get started," Adam said as he began to take the boxes.

"Yes…" And it was only when they actually arrived that he finally put his hoodie down and began to help his father with boxes.

'I knew it…' Yuzuri who was observing quickly thought before going to help.

…

"Good work guys, tonight, we're going to a restaurant!" Kaede declared with a satisfied expression.

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

After a very long time of unpacking their boxes, the sky gradually dimmed as they decided to go to a local restaurant to celebrate it.

"Uh, yeah that's cool mom, but what place should we go to? I mean do you even know where to go?" Morgan asked.

"W- well…" Kaede had a small sweat running down her forehead. It had been so many years and she didn't know the good spots anymore.

Yuzuri didn't go back and was even the one to guide and suggest the restaurant.

The dinner went extremely well and Morgan and Negi were delighted to taste the country's delicacies…

The family began to discuss their future plans.

Through some of his connections in Japan, both Adam and Kaede planned to work as active heroes again, though Kaede wasn't so sure about it since she still had to take care of Negi.

As for Morgan, the parents decided to send him to the prestigious U.A high school to learn about the job of heroes.

Adam told Morgan that although being a hero may be unsuitable for him since he was a bit distant, the job could offer a lot of perks.

Kaede's reasoning was for him to make some friends. Watching her son being so lonely every day was breaking her heart or so she said.

...

After dinner, the family came back home and were then gone to sleep.
