Shadow Monarch Naruto in The Novel's Extra

Chapter 1: The Beginning

After dying at the end of The 4th Great Shinobi War, Naruto thought that he would finally be reunited with his parents in the afterlife. He closed his eyes slowly letting the darkness engulf him, waiting to be transported into the afterlife. But it never happens... When he opened his eyes, all he could see was darkness. An endless void surrounds him, he can't see anything at all. 'Where am I?' he thought.

Suddenly, he saw a white light in front of him, slowly but surely the light was getting bigger and bigger until it blinded him. He closed his eyes as a self reflex, but when he opened his eyes again, he was... Alive. He is currently inside a bedroom lying on top of a single bed. Then he saw it. A Status Window appeared in front of him in blue colour.

[Synchronization successful]

[Welcome Player]

"What the fawkkkkk!!!" Exclaimed Naruto. "What the hell is this?! It's like a status window I always see when konohamaru is playing that one video game. And why the hell is my voice like this?!" Ask Naruto while looking down at his samll hands.

(A/N: I don't know if they really had video games in Naruto's old world so im just going to say that they have lol)

"Holy shit it really does look real.. And how can I interact with it? Hmmm. Let's try this." Said Naruto with his child-like voice.

Naruto decided to ignore the confusing words and proceeded to the next message.

- The player has been transported to a different universe. This universe was actually inside of a novel called [The Returnee Hero]. The player's objective is to become strong by levelling up with the help of the system and make a different ending to this completed novel.

"W-what?! How can I be transported inside of a novel of all things?!?? And now I have to change the ending of this story?! I just died damnit!" Said Naruto angrily.

'What should I do...' thought Naruto. After taking a deep breath Naruto thought.

'Well... This might be my second chance in life.. So let's not waste it..!' said Naruto although he is a little sad that he needed to wait a bit more before he could reunited with his parents.

"Alright let's do this. Absorb!"

"Urgh Damn, you could atleast gave me a warning before doing that tch.." said Naruto. Suddenly his mind become full of information about the world he is living in.

"I see.. So currently I'm inside a country called South Korea. If what my understanding is correct, this world doesn't have any chakra but instead uses mana? And in this world there is Monsters, Heroes, Mercenary, Guilds and Academies. Hmm, i guess in order for me to support the main charactes is by going to one of the academies huh.." said Naruto still trying to wrap his head around the current event.

"The academy I'm going to attend is called.. 'Cube'.

Cube, is a man made island located near the east sea. Including the Future-Hero cadets about 50,000 people resides here.

A modern city concentrated with the world's magic and industry skills and talent. Cube's existence is one of the reasons why Korea is considered a Superpower. Heroes from all over the world gathered in Cube, beating the intense competition.

"Oh, and let's not forget our main character, Kim Suho. The one who exists to save the world.

Shin Jonghak.

Kim Suho. He is the main character of this world. The one who will lead this chaotic world which will either be control by monster or a hero. He has a hero's kind and righteous heart. And a special secret he never reveal to anyone.

And his competition.

Shin Jonghak. Jinsung corporation's 4th generation Jaebol. Jaebol means a large, usually family own business group in Korea. He has the potential to match the main character's. But he's a future villaing to the bone. Currently everyone is a cadet. But in the future, his inferiority complex towards Kim Suho turned him Evil.

"This Shin Jonghak guy is kinda like Sasuke..." Said Naruto.

"Anyways let's see what the third message is all about." He continued.

Naruto reflexively spat out a dumbfounded chuckle after confirming the contents of the message.

"Hahaha….. Seriously?..."

Should this be the feelings of disappointment?

To think, what the grand-sounding Daily Quest, the one titled 'Preparations to become strong', was nothing more than a list of physical exercises to train his body….

Was this what that 'growth' and reward thing the System was talking about?

'Urghhh someone who just got reincarnated doesn't have time for things like this.. I wonder if someone else other than me is also reborn.. looking at my current body it seems like I'm still a child..' Naruto then tried to spread his senses, but to his utter disappointment, he couldn't mold his chakra, or should I say, 'mana' .

Suddenly he heard the sound of footsteps coming closer towards his room. Naruto then think fast and started to fake being asleep.

*Step* *Step* *Step*

The sound of footsteps can be heard until it reach exactly infront of Naruto's bedroom door.

*Creakkkk*

Naruto then heard the door being opened and someone walks in. From what Naruto could gather in this short amount of time is that, this person, is not a danger. He can't sense any killing intent or negative emotions directed towards him.

Silence. Was all that was heard.

Then, curiosity got the better of him. He slowly opened his eyes. Trying to get a glimpse of the 'intruder'.

I first came as a blur. But then.. a feminine figure can be seen watching over him 'fake-sleeping' with a smile on her face. It's not a kind of smile that make you uncomfortable, no. But, it's quite the opposite really.. It.. was full of.. love..?

Naruto then decided to stop acting and open his eyes fully.

What he sees, shocked him to the core..

Standing Infront of him is a very beautiful woman. She has crimson red hair that goes down to her back. A pair of beautiful Violet eyes. A round face with a kind smile on her face.

"I... Impossible... No.. I-it couldn't be.."

Smiling the woman replied, "Welcome back to the world.. Sochi-kun.."

"M-mom?!"
