"You don't need to give me details. I skimmed through your related memories." A woman's voice sounded behind him. When Kanaru turned, he saw a regal figure sitting on a tall throne. Her hair was the blackest night, and her skin was like the artificial lights of Middlemist. It created a distinct layer of black and white. The white overlay even had two red stars wrapped in darkness—which were her eyes.
Lovelle Middlemist was a generational beauty. Her portraits were not removed from the palace walls. Kanaru could recognize her in one look. However, she looked very different from her father.
