Sasuke, The bearer of divine eyes

Sasuke was walking through another village, another village while he was on his journey around the world in search for redemption,

(Sasuke from Naruto the last)

After his fight with Naruto, he learned about what he lost, what he could've had, friends, comrades, a village, the only reason he realized that. Was because Naruto had beat sense into him, resulting in them both losing a limb.

A soft smile stretched on his lips, 'its ironic, that the people close to me have always suffered due to me' he looked up at the light sky.

It seems he left that village behind a while back, it wasn't like him to get lost in his thoughts.

And Naruto wouldn't want him to overthink, he's done enough things by not listening to Naruto, so nowadays he tends to actually hear that dobe's opinions, other than that his topmost priority during this trip is to research Kaguya's dimension, to make sure that they really are safe.

He looked around extending his senses for any prying eyes, After making sure he activated his rinnegan's ability to travel through dimensions, opening a portal to the dimension next on his list, 

He jumped through the portal and landed on cold snow, most of these dimensions tended to be unhabitable, its likely they were made the way Kaguya preferred. he looked around before noticing an old castle of sorts far ahead.

Sasuke entered the castle, looking around there wasn't much inside, other than an unrecognizable language written over the wall. 'Is that supposed to be something only Kaguya can read' , He activated his rinnegan and as he expected he was able to read it.

" Those who wish to travel to the age of once forgotten, must have the eye of gods"

Sasuke narrowed his eyes, 'gods? ' 

Before he could think more, the floor lit up with characters of the same language,

"match found, your wish has been granted"

Sasukes eyes widened as he tried to get away before something happened, He locked his gaze on a piece of rubble just outside the entrance of the castle,

"Amenotejik-"

But before he could complete his rinnegan dōjutsu, he was teleported away.

Suddenly, all the cold was gone, he felt the winds against his body, he opened his eyes and saw the horizen with wide astonished eyes,

His rinnegan revealed due to the wind hitting his face, right above him was a bright hovering sun, he looked down to see he was falling down straight to what looked like a river surrounded on both sides with forest, he tilted his body mid air and landed on his feet,

Sighing for a moment, he tried to reach out to the elemental nations with his rinnegan,

'I don't feel it,...'

His face turned grim, before it calmed down and he looked around, 'I need a clue on what to do next, My rinnegan's dimensional travel isn't working, I cant rely on it for now',

'I can only hope that there's a civilization nearby, that is my only cue, '

He started climbing uphill to get a good reading off his surroundings, before he reached a cliff and peered down, 

"I need to know where I am....", his eyes widened ,

Even for Sasuke this was a very first, even after defeating kaguya, he never once saw anything on this scale, way down below looked like a huge fortress city surrounded by walls and in the middle of it he could see a huge four sided temple like palace in the with the whole population living around it, and the thing that left him frozen was, just behind this fortress city was a huge wall spanning across the cliffs and holding what looked like chakra beasts at bay, 

He activated his sharingan. From what he could see, these chakra beast, looked more on the level of summons than anything as strong as tailed beasts, but they are definitely stronger than any common summons, at-least their chakra levels showed that, and it didn't look like they would stop coming anytime soon,

"Where am I...",

He looked back at the huge civilization , which was probably holding these beasts at bay, 'I need to know where the hell I am', He jumped down the cliff, before sticking his soles to the side of the cliff and running straight down, covering the long height within seconds,

Sasuke pulled his hood up, 'Its better that I lie low, at-least until I'm sure of their intentions' 

A guard wearing Sumerian clothes with a spear noticed Sasuke, "where are you trav-", his eyes glazed over

Sasuke's three tomoe sharingan spun before turning off , " so can I go in?"

The guard came back to his senses "huh....., I'm sorry I was zoned out, yeah go in"

Sasuke walked inside. his gazed the people living here, the houses were made of sandstones, this kind of detailed houses, he's seen for the first time, He walked through the city, people selling fruits, vegetables, all kinds of things, 'It doesn't look like a place that's fighting off chakra be-', 

"Get there now! lets show them the spirit of us Spartans!" 

Sasuke turned his head to look at the commotion, a muscular man wearing only a helmet was shouting at the soldiers, 'everyone's wearing armor...'

He heard some villagers gossip, what he mostly heard was,

"Demonic beasts", 

'Demonic beasts... so that's what those chakra monsters are... and if these people are able to hold them off without getting pushed back, they must be strong..."

 'There isn't a way to get back for now. at-least until i find some answers ',

He continued walking ahead, ' this looks like a peaceful place....'

Its been three days since sasuke arrived here, and he's learned a lot from hearing conversations from people. apparently this place is Uruk, which is humanity's last line of defence against the goddess demonic beasts who can apparently infinitely create them. Now the way those beasts contain so much chakra, there is a possibility that this goddess might be on the level of kaguya or even stronger, so his obvious question was how is the humanity here still holding out so easily, when most of these people are weak humans,

After researching around a bit, which wasn't easy, he learned that the one leading the humanity's last defence, Gilgamesh the king of Uruk is supposedly 2/3rds god. 'two being's probably on the level of Kaguya already....' he's gotten himself into something very dangerous. *sigh*

He climbed up on top of a tall building and took a seat on its edge, feeling the wind hitting his face, he unhooded his face and took a fresh breath, 'The air is so fresh even the natural chakra in the air is thick', he heard slow steps behind him, which stopped next to him.

"Can I have a seat too...", It was a girl wearing a black hooded cloak, her purple braid and bangs were still visible.

Sasuke nodded

She took a seat, they sat in silence, but It felt comfortable, 

"Hey", the girl was the one to break the silence

Sasuke looked at her from the corner of his lone visible eye, while her eyes were hidden by her hood

"hmm?" sasuke leaned back

"You must hate those monsters right...like the ones trying to kill humanity"

Sasuke blinked,

He thought for a sec before replying with a short, "No..."

Her head jerked up at that, why was this girl so interested in knowing if he hated monsters

"what.....?",

"I don't hate monsters"

"w-why...."

"well..."Sasuke looked down at Uruk..., "Maybe because I was one at some point too" Sasuke was expecting her to get frightened by him and run off by now, 

After not hearing back for a while he turned to look at her, she was staring at him in wonder and shock, he saw her purple eyes slightly widened

"well?", 

That apparently brought her back, she looked away with very light tinge on her cheeks which was missed by Sasuke,

"I-I was just surprised..."

Sasuke turned his head back ahead relishing in the silence once again

She sneakily peeked at Sasuke, who was facing forward with his eyes closed

She eased and herself looked forward as the winds unhooded her face, 

"I realized that I had a friend...."

She peeked at him still facing forward., "A friend?"

"Yeah.", the corners of his lips quirked upwards, "he stopped me before I destroyed myself..., by beating some sense into me ", her eyes widened seeing him smile so fondly, her cheeks gained a red hue.

"Do you think I could have friends too?", her eyes faced down

Sasuke creaked his eye open at that, still looking forward, after a minute of silence he smiled lightly, placing a hand on her head.

"yes"

Her eyes widened in shock, still processing his actions, slowly her face turned red in realization, she slipped her hood on, and got away hurriedly.

Sasuke looked back ahead continuing his gazing.

The day after their first meeting-

"Ana"

Sasuke turned his head to see her standing behind him her hood still up, he raised an eye brow in confusion, her cheeks had a light tinge of red as she took a seat beside him, "My name is Ana",

Sasuke turned back to the front, "I see", 

There was a brief silence between them before ana looked at him with.. distaste?.. which was noticed by sasuke , She puffed her cheeks, before looking ahead seemingly ignoring him.

Sasuke sweat dropped, "whats...wrong Ana?"

She peeked through her hood and their eyes met, making her blush a little. "your name..?", 

"Oh", he's gotten a habit of keeping to himself, after travelling around the world alone, that had to happen, especially to someone like Sasuke.

"I'm sorry I should've introduced myself sooner" , " I'm Sasuke"

...

After that it became a routine for them, they would meet at the top of that secluded house every day,

Its been a month since Sasuke arrived in Uruk, during his time here, he's tried many times to open a portal, but its been a failed attempt every time, the problem seems with the dimensional travel itself, because his rinnegan was working just fine,

Sasuke hopped from one house to other in Uruk, he was searching for Ana, its been two days since he last saw her, so he was searching for her while being discreet. 

Just to make sure he activated his rinnegan searching for her chakra, since it was pretty potent he could see if she was here, but there was no signs of her... 

'Which means she is outside of Uruk, or...' 

After giving up he was going to head back until he sensed her chakra near the entrance to Uruk, he could also sense two other strong chakra signatures near her, he rushed there jumping through roofs, not caring if he was seen, he landed near the entrance to Uruk and saw her walking besides a white haired man with a staff in his hand,

She noticed his gaze and realized that it was him, she froze in her spot as her companions turned back to see her locked in gaze with a black haired teen, 

Merlin blinked at Ana, before sharing looks with Ritsuka and Mash, he smiled mischievously, "and who might you be young man" Merlin looked at Sasuke who broke his gaze from Ana noticing him.

"Ooo, Are you and Ana perhaps friends?" he smiled cheerfully at Ana, who was slowly turning red, she slowly walked towards Sasuke who walked towards her in slight embarrassment, 

Ritsuka and Mash smiled, they were happy Ana finally was opening up to someone and making friends by herself.

"Uh-uhm..." Ana had slight blush as she was looking down

"I was just" sasuke looked at her down-facing form "worried where you were", he turned his gaze away in slight embarrassment as he sighed, ' now that I think about it she is the only human connection I've had in this world.. and we know each other for a month already'

Ana looked up her eyes widened, her hood fell off allowing her purple hair to flutter, "you were worried...",

"About me?.. "she blushed hard on the implications, Sasuke peeked at her from the corner of his vision, her face looked like a tomato, his face turned towards her totally forgetting his embarrassment from before, 

"You don't look okay, did something ha-", before he could get any closer to inspect her she flipped her hood back on running away from them. Sasuke stood there having no clue about what just happened

"No need to worry, I think she is okay", Merlin smiled at Sasuke,

"I see.. If you say so" sasuke looked at his face looking for any signs of lies, after finding none he breathed out in relief.

"I'm happy she made friends, By the way, I'm Merlin and these are Ritsuka and Mash, nice to meet you"

The boy with back hair and a orange scarf and the girl with purple armor nodded. 

"I'm Sasuke, likewise" , Sasuke nodded ready to leave the mess he just created, but he was stopped by the black haired guy, who looked his age.{yeah... Ritsuka is 19... and I just realized Sasuke and him are the same age}

"Sasuke....", Ritsuka muttered,

Mash took a moment but her eyes widened as well, "but isn't that..",

A voice spoke out of Ritsuka's torso, "Thats not possible, 'Sasuke' is clearly a Japanese name, how does someone in ancient Mesopotamia have that name...."

Merlin rubbed his chin, "That indeed doesn't seem right",

Sasuke sighed ,"I'm a refugee, I'm not from around here and I'm... looking for a way back to my home", 

"I'm sorry Sasuke san!, maybe I shouldn't have asked that", Ritsuka looked guilty, Romani still wasn't convinced, but mash stopped him from prying unnecessarily

"Its not your fault, no need" Sasuke shook his head, Sasuke turned to leave,

"Wait Sasuke san", Merlin's words confused everyone, " Sasuke turned his face towards Merlin, 

"If you're looking for a way back, why don't you come with us and meet the king Gilgamesh, he might know where to look, and we were just going to report to him of our mission as well", 

Now that got Sasuke's attention, the people that might have a method to return to his dimension are probably the gods here, and the king of Uruk is supposedly 2/3rds God, 

"Are you okay with me coming along..?", 

Ritsuka nodded, "Of course Sasuke san, ", he sweat dropped, " I hope king Gilgamesh helps you out"

They started walking towards the Ziggurat, which is the temple and the place where king Gilgamesh's throne is located.

....

Well Sasuke did heard plenty of rumors about Gilgamesh being a tyrant in the past, but he did hear that, he's become a responsible king now.
