*RING, RING, RING!*

A groan came from under a certain brunette's blanket. She tried putting the pillow over her head but the ringing went on.

"Remi! Wake up." Her mother shouted. "You're going to be late for your first day of high school."

Immediately the brunette's eyes shot open and she quickly got out of bed.

"Oh no! I'm going to be late." She panicked.

From downstairs her mother sighed. "When will she ever learn?"

After dressing up and getting ready, she picked her bag and rushed out with toast in her mouth.

"Bye mom! Nonoka let's go!" She said.

"come back Remi!" Her mother screamed but she ignored her and continued sprinting with her little sister, Nonoka.

"Hey big sis.." Nonoka started. "Mom is going to be pretty mad when you come back."

"Who cares! I'm late!" Remi replied.

Nonoka just shrugged. After Remi dropped Nonoka off at her school, she ran quickly to her new high school which was conveniently close by.

At the entrance of the school, Remi stopped to catch her breath. And she was also nervous.

"Oh dear!" She thought. "The school is HUGE!"

On the gate said "IKIMONARI ACADEMY"

Remi stood there for a while just admiring the exterior of the school. suddenly she heard,

"Re-chan!" The person jumped on her causing her to almost lose her balance.

"Y-yura?!" Remi exclaimed.

"You forgot to add the -chan!" She groaned. "Either way, yep! It's me!" she gave her peace sign and smiled.

"Sorry, Yu-chan. I've missed you so much!" Remi sighed.

"Yura giggled, "Me too!" and hugged her.

"So are you nervous?" Yura answered.

"Not anymore..." Remi replied sheepishly.

"'kay! Then let's go." Yura said taking the brunette's hand and dragging her along into the school.

"Class c, class c, class c..." Yura kept chanting in order not to forget the class she was assigned to with Remi.

"Wow! I can't believe we're high schoolers now!" Remi stated.

"Yeah! It's so weird." Yura answered. She kept chanting "class c" until she found it. "Ah there it is."

"Yeah. I'm starting to get nervous again!" Remi said nervously.

"Don't worry, " Yura opened the door. "Everything is going to-" An eraser hit her head causing her to cut off her sentence.

Remi's eyes widened in surprise. Then she blinked twice.

"What? When did that get there?" She thought. Then she now noticed the muffled snickers and snorts around the classroom.

She narrowed her eyes while Yura stood frozen in her spot. "Who did that?" Remi asked while glaring at everyone.

"Me. What're gonna do about it, huh?" A guy with black and deep yet shining blue eyes snarled.

"I could punch you,hey!" She shouted in anger.

"What was that?" Everyone raised their eyebrows.

"Hey?" remi heard someone say. "Is it some kind of verbal tic or somethin'?"

"I don't know!" His companion replied.

That's not the matter at hand here!" Remi called out. "The fact is you," She pointed at the blackette. "Pulled a prank on Yu-chan!"

"Aww, "Yu-chan". You in kindergarten or something?" The blackette teased.

"Shut up!" The brunette blushed in embarrassment. Before the blackette could say anything else, the teacher came and told them to sit down.

"I'm your home room teacher, Konori Mizuki." The teacher now known as Mizuki, introduced himself.

"I'll take the attendance now."

"Perfect! I get to know the name of the punk!" Remi thought. That was the exact same thought the blackette had.

H-here!" A blond shy guy answered.

And it went on until it got to Remi. "Sarutobi Remi," Mizuki called out.

"Sarutobi?" He looked at her.

Remi sat down. She was lost in her thoughts it seemed. So our blackette decided to snap her out of her daze.

"Hey short stuff! Didn't ya hear you name?"

"I'm not short!" Remi growled.

"Here!" She finally answered.

"Naofumi Tatsumi."

"Yeah." He answered in a bored voice.

"So Naofumi Tatsumi, huh?" Remi thought. "Interesting."
