RWBY: RYZE

Walking down the street carrying a few shopping bags, hood covering the dark purple circles under the eyes and chubby cheeks. Looking up as he crosses the street he sees no cars, taking the first step a truck takes a corner fast, the wheels screeching in his blind spot at high speed and hitting him. He feels an impact hit his side, the air leaves his lungs and for a few seconds, his mind is flooded by shock, keeping him from reacting to anything going on around him.

Till darkness takes his mind and all that's left is the sound around him blurring out into white noise.

So that's how I die… What are my family and friends gonna do with me gone? Fuck dude it's not like their world will end. Give it a year and I'll be a proud thought in the back of their heads. But fuck man I at least wanted to say goodbye, I wanted to laugh one more time with them, sit on the hills and chill with my mates just one more time.

As these thoughts of sadness flooded my mind, my body or should I say lack of. felt like it's in a thick icker sinking deeper and deeper into the void away from the little light that was in my vision.

An unknown amount of time passes. I close my eyes for a second and it feels like minutes pass. I feel like everything is replaying from the start as emotions and memories of the past come back to me. Until a spark of light covers my vision, the light seems to burn my being. This is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. This sensation feels weird yet refreshing. While I'm processing these feelings I haven't actually felt for what feels like years I start to slowly fall down.

*THUD* My being hit a surface as a cloud seems to get knocked up into the air around me. Once I have fallen down I hear a voice that seems to vibrate the light itself "At laSt, My rEQuEst has bEeN mET." I look at my hand to see that my old body is back, I look around to find the voice. My body shivers from the nerves that start to prickle me all over because of the unknown.

My voice almost like a whimper comes out "Wh.. Who's there?" A couple of seconds pass before the voice answers and within that time an uncomfortable silence becomes deafening in my ears. The voice speaks again this time closer at the back of my head I spin around. And see a being of pure white with a black outline sitting "I dOn't HavE muCh tIMe Liam SO I'll mAke thIs quICk I have a wORld that I neEd help witH I thought the protAGoniSt could fix this woRLD but even sHe lOSt to the enDLess sea of Grimm that hER and her friends faced."

My body calms from seeing the figure now in front of me, even if I don't know what it is, I now have something to explain what's going on, a being to focus on "Is this an isekai or light novel am I getting reborn or whatever its called?"

The figure stands and starts walking towards me, now with a voice not broken or distorted like before "Yes it is, and don't talk over me while I'm explaining. As I was saying you Liam have been picked at random to go into this world and live how you want BUT must stop the endless horde of Grimm from killing off civilization with this you get the normal old 3 wishes your books like to talk about I will deem them acceptable and if you wish for too much then the gods of this world will find you and use you like a puppet so be careful now pick Liam."
