In celebration of publishing the 50th chapter of this book, I will provide you with a review of my own book. Read this if you want to receive insights before you start reading my work.
Let's start with the story. It follows Silas Hawthorne, who was transported to Azria, the world where his favorite game, Heroes Of Destiny, existed.
World: The story is set in Azria, a somewhat cruel world fashioned after gritty books I've read. Expect dark themes scattered throughout. The world consists of several continents, but our story begins in the Southern Archipelago. I love the idea of sea travel, which I've utilized in this story. Another mode of transportation you can expect are airships—I love airships!
Timeline: It's set in an early Victorian era. For fans of Steampunk, this story will be enjoyable. Given its planned length, I'll also show progression in technology.
State of Magic: People may be born with or without an affinity for magic. Those with magic are divided into two groups: the Lightservants of the Three Destiny Church, who use Holy Powers, and the Wizards and Witches who use Magic.
Goal: Silas has many goals in this world, the first is finding his way to the country of wizard—Maglem. That place is considered to be a safe haven to wizards like him as most places in Azria have prejudices against wizards. Some even hunted them. As he overcomes challenges, he'll develop more goals until he realizes his need to reach the highest rank possible for his class—a Legendary Wizard.
Who is Silas Hawthorne? He is a wizard destined to die. Thus, the current body must find a way to change that part of the story.
MC's Powers? You'll see plenty of power in Silas's System: attack spells, AOE spells, buffs, and debuffs across all four elements. As Silas ranks up, he'll unlock more elements aside from the four main ones.
Overpowered? Certainly, but he has to climb his way there. He still has much to learn about this world and discover things about himself and the System's reason before he can conjure Eternal Winter, summon an army of Angels, or call upon meteors from the sky. But I promise you, we will get there.
My final message: If you enjoy a crafty and intelligent MC, I highly suggest you give my book a chance. I am an improving writer but I assure you that I will take in a journey you won't regret. Enjoy! Ciao!"
