Reincarnated With A Mysterious Room[SYSTEM]

In the endless nothingness, there stood three tall figures. Two of them were staying a little closer to each other and against the third one. There was an indescribable pressure crushing the air, space, and even time.

Not far from the trio, a little girl was standing within an egg-like barrier. It was yellow and semi-transparent. The girl could see the fluctuations and rifts in the space but she could not feel the pressure, oh no, she absolutely could not feel anything, because this barrier was erected by the strongest being in the all, known, universe.

The Sovereign!

It might sound like a mere title, but this title has been accepted by all. Everyone who lived under the sky knew who was lording over their lives. This was the difference in life forms and destiny. His rule had never been questioned for thousands of years, and his throne never had been shaken. His glory has never been tarnished! Until that day, when he lived old, he started to weaken. After all, it doesn't matter which realm one reaches, or how high he climbs, one can not be a true god and will age and wither in the river of time.

The little girl looked at her master. She was The Sovereign's one and only disciple. The Sovereign only had one descendant, but his only son was a mortal, never able to awaken his bloodline, his pride, his power. The Sovereign didn't want to lose his heritage —after hundreds of millions of years, he was dying of old age, and he didn't want to be forgotten— to be no one. He looked for every corner of the Universe and found a rare existence. Almost as rare as him. And imparted everything he had learned and discovered, without holding anything back, to her.

The little girl's eyes moistened. She could tell that his master wasn't as strong as before. It wasn't just because he was getting older. The other reason was that he shared his blood essence with her to raise her power more swiftly. After all, to comprehend some of the profound arts his master created, she needed strength, and his master didn't have the time for her to get stronger slowly. Thus he sacrificed his blood essence.

The Sovereign stood tall and straight. There was invisible majesty effusing from his body. One could not feel any source of energy from him at the moment. That was what scared the duo standing against him. They were using their all to fight against this pressure, but it was just the innate majesty pressuring them to this extent. The Sovereign's right had flinched only a little, and a Scepter appeared out of nowhere. There were six brilliant stones dressed on the Scepter. They were black. Blacker than a moonless night, but the weapon itself was shining with a weird light, dazzling whoever looked at it.

With the appearance of the Scepter, the pressure multiplied. The duo almost knelt on the ground. This was innate inferiority, ordering them to surrender to a superior being. But they weren't nobodies either. They stood at the top of the Universe, just below the Sovereign.

"Lord Sovereign. Why must you do this.?" One of them asked. He tried to look confident, but he was sweating profusely.

"Lord Sovereign, please think it over." The other one supported his friend. They were supporting each other to stand and talk, otherwise, they would fall on their knees to beg for forgiveness.

"You grew old. You are going to meet your end very soon. Forgive my bluntness but after your demise, the treasure you carry may fall into dangerous hands. If it does, then the entire universe will meet its calamity."

The Sovereign ignored the duo and looked at the empty space with a snort.

"Shadow Monarch, why not come out, since you are here." He slowly talked. There was a mysterious charm in his voice. It was as if the laws were abiding by his command, and soon it broke the space and a figure appeared from where he was looking. Even the duo was surprised by this man's appearance.

"What is the meaning of this Shadow Monarch? We were supposed to meet here!" One of the duo said with a frown. Of course two of them weren't enough to fight against the Sovereign. They agreed to meet here a long time ago, but when they arrived, they couldn't contact the Shadow Monarch. They were actually thinking about the probability of him being killed by the Sovereign before their arrival. But here he was, hiding in the shadows.

"Ehehe. I didn't think Sovereign still had this much perception. I was planning to fish in troubled water, but the "title" of "Sovereign'' is not for show obviously."

"You bastard!" one of the duos couldn't help but curse. They were weak as they were, but their ally planned to kill them when they were fighting with the Sovereign. It scared him and made him boil in anger.

"No need to be flustered. Let's team up and kill this wrinkly old fart." Shadow Monarch said with an exaggerated gesture. His mouth was still curled up.

"Hohoho. So you acquired the Ring of the Ghost King." The Sovereign said with a subtle smile, "And? You are conceited with just this?"

Sovereign spoke slowly but with every word of his, the air started to break. The crack spread towards Shadow Monarch, and in the blink of an eye, it was already covering his whole body.

"Hehe, I don't know how you can say I have it on my body, but no need to hide it at this point. If you can guess, you should know what it does, right?" At this point, his body started to turn intangible before cracks in space arrived at his body. One could not even feel his existence if they didn't look at him. For the top existences like Monarch Duo, this was incomprehensible.

"So the rumors were true after all. The long-lost treasure was really born again in this universe." One of the duos said with a frown.

"All your attacks are nothing to me. You can't even touch a strand of my hai—" Ghost Monarch started to talk all high and mighty again as if he already had the victory in his grasp, but in just a few seconds beads of sweat started to appear on his face, and his face heated up. The redness started to reach his ears. As if he was suffocated.

"Argh!"

"You don't have the qualifications to question my knowledge, you stinky boy. I lived hundreds of millions of years, and I have seen and read what you can't even imagine. And in my presence, no one is allowed to get arrogant."

"Now kneel. Before I send you to your death!"

Hum. Hum.

The light, space, and air shattered, and all three of them felt the pressure pushing them to their knees. The Duo still could fight against it, but Shadow Monarch's knees gave away in a breath and he prostrated himself, against his will.

Crack. Boom.

And in the next breath, his blown-up body started to fall towards the purple planet beneath them.

"Xue'er!" Sovereign turned to the little girl.

Thump.

The little girl fell to her knees as soon as her master called for her.

"Take care of my son until he dies. Make sure he lives a peaceful life. He doesn't have to achieve much, as long as he is happy, I am satisfied."

"Y—Yes Master." The little girl, Long Xue said. She wanted to protest, but she was weak and helpless. She knew better than anyone how close her master was to death. So, she could only cry and fulfill his master's last order.

With a small gesture of Sovereign, the barrier and Long Xue with it started to fly towards the purple planet. In the next second two lights flew towards the barrier. One of them was the Scepter. Cracks followed its trajectory. When it fell in the little girl's hands, it started to shake in rebellion, and its magnificent pearls started to shed. Six of them flew in six different directions and disappeared.

"You still can't accept anyone besides me as your master after all. I hope you can find another companion. I am sorry to leave you behind." Sovereign sighed and raised his both hands to the sky. All light and energy vanished in a single moment and gathered between Sovereign's two palms. A black gleam started to devour the light of the stars and the purple planet vanished.

In the blink of an eye, the massive planet vanished.

Cough.

Blood dyed Sovereign's robe as he turned towards Duo.

"Let's settle this before I go meet my wife." a solemn voice was heard by everyone in the endless universe, and every being felt awe, and kneeled!
