Chapter 1Chapter 01: Final Floor

At the 300th floor inside the infamous Tower of God, the final floor's gate stood before the Hero's party. Their hearts quivered with fear at the unknown that lay beyond.

The leader of the party, the one and only hero, rallied his team with a bright smile. "Everyone, if we all make it out of this alive, we're going to have a grand banquet. So, until the very end, don't die!"

The heroic cry of the hero uplifted everyone's spirits, dispelling the lingering fear from their faces. Victory or death might await them beyond the towering, dark gate, but the hero's party followed their leader without hesitation.

The hero took the initiative, pushing open the massive, ominous gate. As it creaked open, a breathtaking garden stretched before their eyes. In the Tower of God, each floor had its own rules, so this awe-inspiring sight was not unusual. Their greatest concern now was the potential rules governing this floor.

The hero surveyed the area and soon spotted what they had expected: a majestic dragon, the stuff of legends. Everyone stood in awe, but they couldn't afford to be passive. While the dragon slumbered, they needed to discern the rules of this final floor.

"Ailah, can you decipher the rules here?" the hero inquired of the sorcerer in their party. Without delay, the sorcerer responded, "It doesn't appear to follow the patterns of the previous floors. The air here behaves like the outside world."

The hero probed further, "So, is it safe? Are there no rules here?"

The sorcerer replied, "It seems safe, but the main challenge lies in how we're going to defeat... that thing." She pointed to the sleeping dragon, a mountain-sized creature adorned with golden-white scales that exuded an air of regal power.

After beholding the majestic dragon lord, the hero gathered the party for a strategy session before their final battle. He first turned to Ailah, the sorcerer who had been providing guidance since they arrived.

"Ailah, stick to your usual role and support our rear. Hammelot and Ymir will be at the front with me. Ryan, target the dragon's blind spot and attack if an opportunity arises, even if the odds are against us."

Next, he addressed Hammelot, the shield-wielding party member, and Ymir, the magic swordsman who fought alongside the hero.

"Hammelot, Ymir, you'll be in the front lines with me. Ryan's mission is to strike at the dragon and attempt the impossible."

Lastly, he turned to Diane, the saint of their party. "Diane, we're entrusting our lives to you. Give your all to ensure our survival and victory. Don't die, everyone. We'll celebrate with a grand banquet once this is over."

The saint smiled warmly, her strong hands patting the hero's back, and the hero felt his resolve strengthen.

"Don't overthink it. We'll survive this hell together."

Those words were like a soothing melody to their ears. Even if the odds were stacked against them, they had to risk everything and emerge victorious. This might be their final battle, but they had to win at all costs.

"Everyone, prepare."

The hero led the charge towards the slumbering dragon, with the magic swordsman and shield-wielder by his side. The cleric and sorcerer, prepared for the worst, stood ready behind the frontline warriors.

The hero whispered a low command to Ryan, who promptly disappeared into the shadows, blending into the surroundings.

As the hero and his party drew closer to the dragon, the mighty beast slowly opened its eyes. The sheer pressure from its gaze momentarily froze them in place. The sorcerer and the saint quickly cast protective spells to counteract the pressure, allowing them to press on, despite the looming danger.

The dragon's crimson-red eyes, radiating majesty and royalty, fixated on them. It unfurled its wings, creating a powerful gust of wind that forced the hero and his companions to step back. With a cold, majestic gaze, the dragon took to the sky.

The enemy was now airborne, and the hero and his party faced a new challenge. In response, the sorcerer finally took action. She waved her staff over her companions and began chanting.

"Oh, Deities of the Wind, heed this mortal and grant us your blessing. Bestow upon us the ability to traverse the sky as if it were an ocean. Fly!"

Her staff generated a small whirlwind at its tip, granting the hero and his party the power to walk through the air.

The hero, no matter how many times he had witnessed this, couldn't help but be amazed. He complimented the sorcerer as they soared through the sky. His companions wasted no time, following closely behind to support him.

The dragon lord watched them with its cold eyes and seized the opportunity. It bared its fangs, opened its mouth, and conjured a small, intensely fiery orb on its tongue.

It was preparing to unleash its devastating dragon breath, engulfing them in flames.

"Look out!" the hero urgently warned. They were in mid-air, and even with their newfound abilities, avoiding such an attack would be challenging.

Hammelot ignored the warning and rushed forward. He raised his divine artifact shield, 'Aegis,' and activated it to protect everyone.

With all his might, Hammelot defended against the impending fiery onslaught. The sorcerer added her own protective magic, causing the flames to ricochet harmlessly to the side before dissipating.

Hammelot wiped the sweat from his brow and smiled at the hero, acting as though he hadn't just saved them from certain death.

"Seems you almost forgot about me, dear hero."

The hero, filled with gratitude, thanked Hammelot once more and said, "Thank you, Hammelot. I'm counting on you."

With unwavering resolve, the hero pushed forward once more, ready to face the dragon lord head-on.

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR
