Red Lightning

Someone once told me things will happen. In fact, things happen all the time, but most of the time, they'll happen for no reason. It could just be because of bad timing or bad luck, but whatever the reason, things will happen for no reason. They'll just happen, and most of the time, we don't have control over what happened. All we can do is watch as whatever happened, happened. What we do have control over is what happens next. If something bad happens, we can't let that one bad thing destroy our lives. We can try and fix it, maybe try and ignore it, or in my case, embrace it. That's the choice I choose to make when something bad happened to me. Something very bad. Something I thought was only possible in comic books and movies. I got fast. I got very fast.

My name is Samantha Reader, but my best friend called me Sammy for short. To everyone around me, I am just your everyday, average teenage girl. The two places I go are school and home. I have a slightly higher GPA than normal. I don't really use makeup a whole lot and my clothes aren't anything to brag about. However, to the rest of Carson City, Nevada, I am Red Lightning. A legend and this is how it all started.
