My head was pounding, my heart was racing. My knees felt weak as I fell over my body falling into the damp ground. Sinking into the soft green grass beneath me. I killed them, I killed them all. The pile of bodies towered over me as I panted, sweat soaking my clothes. My arm was burnt and hurt like hell. I unequipped my armour and laid on the ground, staring up at the sky, the gentle clouds wafting over me as I rested in the grass. My level reached ninety. The sun was blocked momentarily by the clouds. My eyes drifted close and I fell asleep. It was so peaceful. I am so tired.

"Rhy damn it did you fall asleep again?"

I lifted my hand above my eyes blocking the harsh sun from my eyes. Her face was in front of my eyes, her golden hair drifting away in the wind, her eyes sparkling. I sat up with my hands resting on the grass behind me. In front of us was a set of two stone doors. Behind those doors was the equivalent of an SS-rank monster. Could I kill whatever is behind that door? Am I strong enough to protect Chaaya? If I die here that thing will get out…. Will Celdrick and the others be able to kill that thing? I wonder what death will feel like? I stood up with my armour forming around my body and my sword appearing in my hand. There's only one way to find out! It's do or die cuz this…. This is my new life and I won't give up now!

I walked to the gates, my hand outstretched. Fear consumed me, terror shook my hand. I was trembling. My eyes widened. What was this feeling? I've faced death before so how come this is different? Why am I scared? What's changed?

"Rhy are you scared? Well that's ok because if you're too scared then the greatest mage of all time will just have to fight for you!" How can she walk to that gate so easily? She's powerless so how does she stand so much taller than me? Heh I realise it now. The reason why I keep fighting, the reason why I'm scared, the reason why I can't die, it's Chaaya! It was always her!

"Now I wouldn't be much of a summon if I let you do that, now would I human?"

I pushed on the door, my shaking stopped. Everything vanished because of her. All of my hesitation, all of my fear, all of my regret, it all toppled after seeing her smile.

It started. I walked into a giant room. Not a room but a garden, a low rumble came through the ground as a huge snake slithered through the garden, its massive head lifting to see us. A low sound echoed through the garden as the snake's tongue shot in and out. I gripped my sword tightly staring into the black soulless eyes of the monster. Its scales shining from the sun as we stared time seemed to stop. I heard a thudding sound from behind me. Chaaya dropped to the ground, her head in her hands. Her eyes wide.

"No no it can't be, why? Why did it have to be that?"

I stepped back resting my hand on her shoulder as she mumbled.

"Don't worry human, if it hurts you then I will take care of it. place your trust in me and please get up."

"But it… it killed everyone!"

"Then it'll pay in blood!"

I gripped my sword with vengeance and anger in my eyes as I turned back to the snake.

"Don't leave me like the rest, please run."

"Heh heh never."

I stepped forward the snake hissing its giant fangs leering down at me, its pitch black eyes reflecting back at me. I dashed forward my sword hanging behind me as I ran. The world disappearing as I charged, Chaaya's screams and pleads drowned out by the rush of the wind. I jumped into the air, my hair flowing behind me as I arced in the air smashing my sword into the basilisk, its giant fangs glaring at me as I jumped, bringing my sword down on the monster my sword bounced off its scales. Sliding down the slippery back I tried to dig my sword into the neatly packed scales, I kicked off the snake's back as its tail slammed into the ground beneath me. I flipped into the ground charging again, the ground lifting up with my feet as I launched through the air. I don't care if I have to live my life surrounded by humans just as long as one of them is Chaaya. I would do anything to keep her safe. Compared to the fear of losing her, this snake is nothing. I crashed into its head, my sword thrusting into its scales, but there was no luck. This thing was impenetrable.Its on a totally different level. I attacked again and again. I tried skill after skill but nothing had an effect. There was only one option left, one thing I hadn't tried.

'Alert: Skill activated - "violent rampage" '

I charged at the beast screaming, but there was nothing, there were no lines, no instructions.

I charged toward it again and again but there was nothing I could do.

"Human! Boost my mana"

'Alert: Master Chaaya used skill - "arcane" '

My mana leaped up. I have roughly nine hundred now. I charged into the snake, my fist glowing. I had put five hundred mana points into the punch. My fist slammed into the snake, its long body shifting to the side sliding across the ground. I kept pressing until its underside showed, my fist pushed through driving it as the humongous beast flipped over. I took my sword and plunged it down into the soft flesh. The blade pierced the skin and a dark red blood poured out of the wound splashing onto my left arm. Burning the flesh and pushing me back. My arm was a dark purple and I couldn't move it. Why is it never that easy?
