He clicked on the Bloodline Ability, which was unlocked after he reached level 10.

"Oh!?", he was quite excited to see what a bloodline ability was supposed to do, and the one he had gotten seemed broken.

"Are all bloodline abilities this good? Why didn't I get one in the previous life", Aldrich sighed, but he knew there was no point thinking about the past.

Aldrich was amazed to see the benefits provided by the system. He had seen beast tamers in the past life and had heard that evolving the beast required significant effort. But now he could upgrade his sword and evolve his beast in one go.

Aldrich closed his eyes, as he sensed the two cubs sleeping peacefully inside the swords.

"You two worked really hard. I will do anything to help you guys grow. That's what your mom would have done as well", he said, thinking about the wolf he killed in the trial.

Aldrich closed his eyes, as he breathed in deeply,

"System , your resitrctions have been lifted right?",

"Was there a way to save the people of the territory?",

This question had been on Aldrich's mind since he had realized the territory was full of demons.

He had answered Mark that it was not possible, just to gain his cooperation, else Mark would have focused on saving the people than killing them.

"haah", Aldrich rested on his armchair, looking towards the ceiling.

"I see, thanks, system"

Aldrich knew that his old style wont work anymore, right now he had to focus on growing his strength, and stop the growing influence of demons in the empire.

Aldrich had wondered what the effects of his intervention in the major events would be, and now he slowly started to understand that.

"If I hadnt gone to that territory, Brent's subordinate would have never been killed, and would be found at a later date, causing Brent's organization to go against the demons, severely weakening his strength, and reducing his trust over his own subordinates. That caused him to be the cold man that he was. But now, I wonder what changes my intervention caused to his personality."

Aldrich had to check the effects of his bloodline ability as well, talk to Brent about the unique affinities people are not born with, reach the Academy for his entrance exam.

"There is a lot to do, and not a lot of time is left", he thought.

Meanwhile, the word had spread about the incident that occurred in the territory of Count Ash. The Holy Empire dispatched its members to check the presence of demonic humans, and killed all of them.

The news started to spread,as the name of a young man called Alder was circulated amongst the common public, who saved the citizens of the territory, and defeated a demonic general by himself.

Knowing that the presence of demonic beings might tarnish the reputation of the church, they began spreading the heroic deeds of a warrior named Alder, who singlehandedly defeated the demons and saved the town from destruction.

The Great families, on the other hand, knew the terror and strength of a demonic general , and wanted to covet this warrior named Alder for themselves. They released marriage proposals , to allow this might warrior to enter the big ranks of their family.

Unbeknownst to all this , Aldrich casually wore the cloak, as he entered the Black Market , this time with Remi, as Brent had offered Remi a chance to train under an assassin. They both reached outside Brent's store, to notice that quite a lot of screaming noises were coming from the inside of the store.

They rushed inside, to notice a row of young men and woman, hanging on the wall of the store. The store's inside was bloody, as if a slaughter had taken place. In the middle of the room was Brent, his clothes clean as if nothing had ever happened here

Aldrich looked at Brent, to notice that the cold and calculative gaze was back.

Brent looked at the two of them, and suddenly his killing intent disappeared. He clapped his hands, as suddenly all the bodies on the wall disappeared, and the shop turned back to normal.

"Hey Aldrich, you must be here for the information", Brent gave Aldrich his biggest smile, as if everything in the shop was okay, making him confused of Brent's true personality.

"Weird old man", he sighed.
